When we first got here just before 6 PM on a Friday this place was VERY BUSY, but luckily we were able to actually get a seat quickly because we chose to sit at a community table. It’s in the back area and the seats are HEAVY and hard to move and it’s hard to find a place to put your stuff. However it wasn’t too bad and at least we didn’t have to wait for a table for 4. The waitress came over immediately and asked us if we wanted to it in an order since it was right before happy hour. We were able to get tinga chips which were delicious! We loved these and were super happy. Another member in my party got the margarita flight and loved that as well.
The service was mostly good as they were good about asking if we needed anything and brought out the food fairly quickly. Beware the food comes out in stages a bit and was a little weird as some tacos came out for one person and other tacos came out family style so we had to switch them around people. The waitress for us was super nice but the food runner wasn’t the nicest. He seemed like we were a bother to him. However, the tacos were really good. I loved the pork belly taco and I also got the assadera quesadilla which I highly recommend as well. Really good food (though a little on the pricey side I think).
Finally we were sitting there and just chit chatting, still working on our dishes and drinks. After a bit the waitress came over and very nicely asked us to leave because they had a table of 8 that had been waiting 1.5 hours for a table. We had only been there just over 1.5 hours. So they basically kicked us out. To be fair to them, they did comp us the Tinga chips and the margarita flight which was very nice but it still felt in poor taste. Also they do not let you split the bill per person. You can either pay for it all or split it equally. The fact that they can’t (or won’t) do this in 2025 is beyond me but just something to be aware of. The ambiance of the place is darker and more vibey which I loved. However it is extremely loud (the music is super loud) so it makes it hard to even hear the person next to you when talking.
Overall not a bad restaurant and had really good food but I’m not sure I would return considering all the issues we...
Read moreSo below was my original review & the service that one woman gave us tonight was questionable.. every other worker was very welcoming and friendly but this lady left me with mixed feelings because I’m in the service industry but I’ve also managed servers before & the way she was very nonchalant with our party kind of rubbed me wrong. My older sister left the restaurant due to not feeling welcomed.. we stayed because we already started ordering. This would be my 3rd time visiting and was excited to bring all of my siblings to check out the place but they left feeling uneasy that maybe she had some prejudice that maybe we would give her a hard time or maybe not tip well?? Im not sure but still tipped $20 just because I don’t like to not tip but had she given a little more attention and personality & CHECKED ON us instead of us having to flag other servers down she would’ve gotten a tip well deserved. Idk if I will be returning anytime soon.. I don’t like when servers have a preconceived notion that a large party (hoping it was just that we were a larger party of 10) isn’t going to tip so they give BS service expecting the tip to match their lack of service. I really am disappointed honestly & I don’t like complaining at place of business because she might just be having a bad day but maybe pay more attention to detail with those larger parties. I am a very great tipper & I would’ve felt bad leaving her $0 like my siblings suggested. Originally gave a 10/10 but I’m leaving with an 6/10 feeling tonight… the bartenders were great and checked on us more than she did lol crazy work ..
Beautiful restaurant. Something new and refreshing to Nashville. The tacos were all unique and delicious. Tuesday has great deals on tacos and drinks. The service was great from the moment we were greeted walking to the door until we were leaving. Definitely will be returning and telling my friends about Dos...
Read moreCame here for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but not packed, as we had no wait and we were seated right away. Upon arrival the atmosphere was nice, and the Playlist was a nice vibe. Our waitress (never gave us her name, but I recall someone mentioning Gypsy?), was very prompt to take our order. I received my margaritas flight and chips and guac appetizer, which were good. H
Our food took a VERY long time to get to us, and when it was finally delivered, our food order was wrong. Which was interesting since they have a very limited menu of tacos and quesadillas. A gentleman brought our food, and once we told him 2/3 tacos were wrong he said he would check with the kitchen, and be back. Once he returned he apologized, and the food would be out shortly. We were so hungry, we begged for the one taco that was right, but we're told no as it was a health code violation... fair enough.
We waited an additional 25 mins after waiting for 45 mins after our initial order. Throughout this time our waitress never came back and followed up with us on how everything was. However, I think she could tell we were ready to go, as I think she saw me scanning the room for her. She came over with our full ticket, which included the tacos we never received. When I let her know that, she was in shock, and said "you didn't get ANY of your food", which again she would have known that had she'd taken the time to check-in. She only removed the tacos, and came back with a coupon for "our next visit", stating she'd hope we'd give them another chance. The coupon was a BOGO drink, with the purchase of a drink and a full entrée. I personally thought there could have been more of an apology, or compensation, given we waited over an hour with no food. We thought the service was very poor, and there was not a lot of effort into making our experience better, or even a real...
