Ginza — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I ordered takeout from Ginza day before yesterday night. Since it was cold, my husband and I both decided to go with the dinner bento boxes. In my husband's bento box he chose The soup and house salad (that is included with the bento box) Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura Spicy Tuna Roll Pork Tonkatsu

For my bento box I chose: The soup and house salad Gyoza Salmon & Avocado Roll Salmon teriyaki cooked medium rare.

My husband went to pick up our dinner and the first thing he mentioned when he came back was the guy who took our order and who was at the counter was the nicest guy ever! He said he was so very kind to him. He had printed the $8.00 off coupon and taken it with him as in the coupon it had mentioned that the coupon has to be printed and presented. My husband said he forgot the coupon in the car and was about to run back to the car to get it but the guy wouldn't let him. He was so impressed with the kindness the gentleman showed him.

First thing I have to say was I was so impressed with the portion size of our food from Ginza. Hehe seeing the amount of food we received, I was so very happy. This place does business with a generous heart.

We started with the shrimp and vegetable tempura and it came with two large shrimp tempura and lots of vegetables. We both enjoyed the tempura appetizer. It was delicious. Next we ate the gyoza which was delicious. Our daughter absolutely loved the gyoza.

Soup and salad was delicious but what impressed was the spicy tuna and salmon and avocado rolls. The ratio to the fish and rice was so perfect. It was packed with flavor. We enjoyed each and every bite.

Moving on to our main course, both the pork tonkatsu and salmon teriyaki portions were so huge. They were both so packed with flavor. We both enjoyed each and every bite.

We really enjoyed our dinner takeout experience from Ginza. The food portion was generous and delicious. What made me happier was the kindness shown to my husband by the gentleman at the restaurant. We will...

First time been there even though we know it was there for a long time and going near by so many times. They had a lot of different kind of rolls, from traditional ones to creative ones. Also, the menu from kitchen had many different kind. We order chirashi and Katsudon. so we can have one from sushi bar and one from kitchen. Since it was not really prime dinner time, chirashi came pretty quick. it had 18 pc of pretty fat sashimi on it. Fish were pretty fresh and good. Katsudon took little longer compared to chirashi, but it came within reasonable times. Katsudon was blast!!! I have never seen that big bowl for donburi!!! I believe it was the size of ramen bowl. I could not help laughing about it. Katsu was thick and good as well. Only the ting is wish there was little more sauce. Ginza is a bright spot in the Green Hills dining scene. Everything my dining companion and I sampled from the sushi to the gyoza to the teriyaki was tasty and fresh. Our food came out very quickly contrary to other reviews, and the sheer value for the quantity of food received was amazing.

The atmosphere is simple, cozy. The staff were not particularly warm but certainly attentive. One strange thing I observed over the course of our meal were the crowd- overwhelmingly twenty-something women with messy buns wearing almost-pajamas in pairs blowing off steam and saying things like "Epic!" a lot. If tonight's crowd is indicative of the regular clientele, it's no wonder the staff seems more than a little annoyed, and who could blame them!
