RUDE AS HELL!! Placed a call in order, and triple checked that I was heard, and my order was wrong.
No biggie. I just said, “I ordered 3 Nashville Hot tenders and this is 4 plain tenders”
He rolled his eyes, argued with me, and then went to the back
Made SURE to express his disdain for having to do his job. Slammed the kitchen door open and that wasn’t enough.
He then continued to yell from the kitchen telling me that I ordered the food how he brought it out when I REPEATEDLY said “Nashville Hot”
That’s when I read him for filth and then left. It’s crazy to talk to a customer like that who WASNT EVEN MAD ABOUT THE WRONG ORDER,
But worse to make a big deal about it telling me IM wrong when the standard order is 3 tenders, you literally have to ask for 4 and the word plain never crossed my lips.
He literally ONLY had to take away one tender and give me some Nashville hot on the side.
I left and 100% won’t be going back. And I’ll be sure to never recommend them to bar patrons ever again. I’ll be sending them to Roma’s and Party Fowl from now one
I didn’t even pay for the food yet, he wasn’t smart enough to hold his anger until after the food was paid for so it gives me great pleasure that food cost and time was wasted due to terrible service and it was...
Read moreMy flight had landed about 9pm and hadn’t eaten since before noon, was hungry and “Nashville chicken” sure seemed like a great idea but most of the “Nashville chicken” places close by 10pm. By the time I deplaned and got my rental car, I was pushing 10pm but a quick Google search showed this place nearby and open till 11pm so off I went for Hella and I was not disappointed. Not the most appealing part of town but I was hungry and wanted something with a kick and glad I stopped because the leg quarters prepared “Nashville” were excellent. The “leg quarter” seemed kind of expensive (but what isn’t these days ?) but what’s not disclosed on the menu is you get TWO quarters to an order which is generous!
The chicken was cooked to perfection and for my tastes, the “Nashville” sauce was the perfect degree of heat, meaning enough kick to amp up the flavor but very enjoyable without experiencing pain… Give this place a try as I’ll probably stop back in on the way to the airport for when I leave...
Read moreDisappointing Heat Levels Ruin Dining Experience My visit to Hella Hot Chicken on Donelson Pike in Nashville turned into a nightmare due to the overwhelming spiciness of their hot chicken. The medium heat level I ordered was hotter than any I have ever experienced, leaving me in discomfort for nearly an hour after trying to wash away the fiery sensation with soap. The extreme heat made it impossible to enjoy the meal, and I couldn't even sample the rest of the food before discarding it.
This level of heat surpassed even the spiciest offerings at Prince's restaurant, resembling a pure onslaught of cayenne pepper. The suggestion to call with complaints from the counter worker further underscored the problematic nature of the experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to Hella Hot Chicken after such a distressing encounter. Customers should approach with caution, especially when it comes to their...
