We had booked two rooms for three nights at Drury Inn Nashville Airport 10 days in advance for our family of six, including elderly parents. At the time of booking, we requested connecting rooms due to our parents’ age and mobility. We understand connecting rooms aren’t always available, but at the very least, adjacent or same-floor rooms should have been arranged, especially given the advance notice.||I called four days before check-in and was told connecting rooms weren’t possible, but they assured us that the rooms would be close to each other. I called again on the day of check-in to let them know we will be arriving late around 10 pm and also wanted to confirm if the rooms are close to each other. They told the same thing — the request for nearby rooms was in the system and will be honored.||When we arrived around 10 PM, we were met by a rude and unprofessional Assistant Manager (The one in the front desk Jul 19th night) who appeared visibly annoyed as though we were inconveniencing her. She informed us that the two rooms were on different floors. When we explained our previous calls and the repeated confirmations, she dismissively said: "You didn’t talk to me. I can’t do anything. This is what I have." She even went so far as to say she didn’t mind if we cancelled — an incredibly unprofessional and apathetic response.||What was most upsetting was not just the room situation, but the total lack of empathy, professionalism, and courtesy. We weren’t asking for a last-minute favor — this was a request made in advance and followed up multiple times. We were essentially forced to walk out at 10:30 PM, searching for alternative accommodations on a busy Saturday night — a stressful and frustrating experience for our entire family, especially our elderly parents.||Thankfully, we found a room at Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville @ Opryland. Despite being nearly full, their front desk manager went out of the way for 30 minutes to rearrange bookings and was able to give us two rooms next to each other on the same floor. Their hospitality and professionalism were a stark contrast to what we experienced at Drury Inn.||We also stayed at Hampton Inn Biltmore Village in Asheville during the same trip. The day after we made the reservation, they proactively assigned us connecting rooms and even sent a confirmation message. ||Bottom line:|If you have any specific room requests or want a friendly front desk, avoid Drury Inn Nashville Airport. Other hotels showed us that accommodation and kindness are possible, even at the last minute, something this property...
Read more21 mths ago myself and my service fur baby peanut decided to travel with my husband who is the "greatest power line constructor and instructor" in the usa. 6 mths ago I underwent treatment for colon cancer and fortunately the end of my treatments continued in nashville. Needing to find a residence where I could rest and recuperate I decided on DRURY INN & SUITES. We have stayed in about 37 different hotels in different states and the DRURY INN is my favorite! The rooms are spacious with a comfortable king size bed, with soft sheets and plenty of pillows. a night table on both sides a desk and office chair a sitting chair, a wardrobe type dresser with the microwave and small fridge inside. 4 spacious drawers. The closet has a full length mirror with an iron and ironing board inside. The sink and counter is seperate from the bath tub/shower and toilet. The shower head is incredible! Theres bars to hang onto and plenty of room so my hubby dont bang his elbows while showering. The hot water is plentiful and we are on the 3rd floor! The bedding and The towels are soft and plentiful. The breakfast is delicious! From 6am til 9am the best breakfast! Biscuits and gravy and the best taters I've ever eaten!(sorry mamaw). Theres juices and fruit, soda too with crushed ice.The ladies that serve you are so sweet and polite. If you leave hungry it's your fault. You can eat from a real plate that's as clean it sparkles! I have seen the working guys carry out styrofoam trays that close. The staff always wear their face masks and always have on clean gloves & uniforms. I've been here approx 3 weeks and i dont have 1 complaint. The dining area is comfortable and always clean as a whistle! At 530pm theres cocktails my fave is the margarita! There is different buffet foods like chicken tenders, tacos, pulled pork & beans. The air and heat in the rooms are controlled by a thermostat on the wall. The sheets and pillows are clean crisp and so soft! The carpeting is clean. The indoor pool is very nice it is joined by the outside pool with a partition, theres a seperate heated pool area with tables and chairs on the inside as well as outside. I do wish that us smokers had an area to stand or sit in. Especially when it rains. That's my only suggestion for this lovely motel. The front desk staff is always polite and very helpful. The big fellar with the blonde hair helped me so much during my stay. My husbands company pays for our stay here while we are transitioning...
Read moreStayed 2 nights the weekend of Jan. 25-27, 2019. Never stayed at a Drury before, but was so excited to see such a reasonable rate/price for somewhere not too far from Nashville city center (places closer in prices are so high!). Only about a 10-15 minute Uber/Lyft ride from hotel to "main strip"/Bridgestone Arena area, about $12 total.
LOVED: Large free breakfast in morning (wish it maybe went until 11am though instead of 10, but oh well); 530 Kickback with lots of also free included yummies each night, like hotdogs, nacho bar and a rotating "main item/thing" different each day of the week (Friday I think was beef tacos and Saturday was pasta). AND 3 free alcoholic bevs per adult each night...GREAT! Margaritas were suuppeerr tasty; Front desk staff, housekeeping and the manager (I think? Mike?) were all so friendly and pleasant to talk to; Free parking on site; Microwave, mini fridge, and plenty of furniture storage, drawers, etc. available in room, and room was clean.
NOT SO LOVED: Small entryway/entrance into hotel, which immediately butted up to the front desk...made it kind of hard to get in and out during peak/busy time with people checking in or out, especially when we had the rolling suitcase dolly thing to bring all our stuff to/from the car; Wish there was more seating/table area for breakfast/kickback time, as it's only from 530-7pm, it gets pretty crowded (on a weekend night at least when we were there) and made it somewhat hard to find a table even just for 2; Shower water temp in our room (603) fluctuated quite a bit while using it, and toilet handle needed to be pressed down a realllyyy long time to flush; Our room (603) was also directly across from some apparent utility/housekeeping/storage room and we (especially and oddly in the night) would hear a door slamming sound and lots of loud ruckus. We thought maybe it was the elevator at first, which was around the corner, but figured out it had to be the staff door right across from us (?).
Can't comment on pool/hot tub, gym, meeting space, etc. since did not use.
All in all, I'd definitely be back to this or any...
