I am writing this due to having a very unpleasant experience at this Jack in the Box franchise located in Nashville Tennessee.
At around 4pm on 1/2/2022 my wife and I had arrived in Nashville to stop for a rest and quick bite to eat before driving back to Knoxville. We had been driving from Las Vegas and needed to use the restroom facilities and grab some food from this location.
As we entered the restaurant an employee named Matthew (according to the receipt) told us the dining area was closed and we had to place any food orders through the drive thru. I asked if we could use the restrooms before we ordered our food and he allowed to do so. I also noticed he seemed to be preoccupied with texting or chatting on his phone, so we hurried to finish and thanked him for the use of the facilities and returned to our car to place an order.
Once we got to the ordering menu we waited as the order taker asked us to wait. After a few minutes we proceeded to place our order - chicken fajita combo with diet coke, 25 piece tiny taco box, 3 egg rolls with dipping sauce, and an extreme sausage breakfast sandwich.
I was informed that they were not serving any breakfast items at the moment. I informed them that the menu sign stated serving breakfast all day, and the reply was that they had meant to take down that sign. I decided to get a bacon ultimate burger without cheese instead.
After paying and getting our food, we checked our receipt and noticed that instead of a fajita pita we received a teriyaki chicken bowl. As we were already tired and wanted to get home, we decided to just take the bowl since we’ve had it before and liked it. We also noticed there were no utensils and no sweet and sour dipping sauce as I requested for the egg rolls. Since there was only one customer ahead of us we decided to go back through the drive thru and get a fork and sauce.
As we got to the window I asked the female employee that we just the order and we needed a fork for the teriyaki bowl and sauce for the egg rolls. She acted as if we we had never been there and didn’t know what I was taking about. I repeatedly told her that we had just gotten our order and it was missing the utensils and sauce. At this point the other employee named Matthew came to the window and I explained what happened. He said we never asked for any sauce. I told him I did, and that he even repeated it when I was ordering. He then grabbed a fork and 2 sauces and gave them to me, and as soon as it was in my hands he shut the window, locked it, and walked away, before I could say anything else or even tell him about getting a bowl instead of a pita.
At this point I looked at my wife incredulously and decided to just go home. As we were leaving the parking lot my wife notified me that when she opened the tiny taco box the amount of tacos seemed less than when we had ordered at other locations previously. She counted and found we only had 16 tacos out of the 25 ordered.
We have been to other Jack in the Box locations because of the unique food options, and better quality versus other fast food options. We even make Jack in the Box our first and last stop before heading back to Knoxville since we do not have any near us. This is the first time we have ever been treated this way just for a fork, some dipping sauce, and getting the wrong order. Either the employees at this location were not trained properly on providing basic customer service, or they just didn’t care. In either case, this does not represent what I’ve come to expect from...

I live in Southern Indiana and do not have access to Jack in the Box, so the first time I had ever tried their food was while on a tour of the Southern Midwest, specifically Texas. It was fantastic.
Now, this trip! In order of disappointment: The stones for decoration in front were littering the sidewalk; I kicked several back into their designated area. Walked into the shop and was hit by three things: 1st - the humidity was nasty, 2nd - because of the humidity the floor was slick, as if someone had mopped the floor with deep fryer oil, 3rd - the friggin music was SO loud I just knew I was going to have to yell my order across the counter There were three young girls at the counter, all three appeared shocked to see customers walk into the lobby as they, all three, snapped their heads up from their phones Placing our food order was simple enough(I guess that was a highlight) After getting our drink cup and filling out them, we chose a seat, I nearly fell to the floor because the seat I decided to sit in was BROKEN and tilted forward as I sat down While waiting on our food, I went to the restroom. I'll just leave this at saying it was DISGUSTING. There were several "wet spots" on the floor that I guessed (probably correctly) was piss. -sorry- I straddled the puddles, did what I needed to do, and then washed my hands. There were no paper towels, and the hand dryer was junk, so I decided to use toilet paper to dry my hands.(you do what you gotta do) The toilet paper dispenser was empty, but there was TP, lovingly resting on the commode water pipes. I dried my hands and went back to the dining area. Our food order was ready, and I was excited to wrap my hands around that double cheese burger with curly fries. My burger turned out to be 2 beef patties with cheese that seemed like it had been dipped in mustard and placed on stale buns.
My trip to Jack in the Box was basically a reward trip for my wife and I, we were on a medical run to Vanderbilt Orthopedics in Nashville, TN. for her to have an exam and procedure, both of which were and are nerve-wracking.
As I said, our first Jack in the Box was in Texas, and it was, for me, an OMG burger. This time, it was worse than a 3am gas station roller sausage that I absolutely knew was going to be nasty.
PS - the packs of ketchup were good

Read moreIn the past, I've had great experiences at this location, but s since the pandemic began, it's really gone down hill. There were nights I stopped by when they were suppose to be open and told they were closed in the drive thru. People I know have stated that they thought the place was closed permanently because they are never open when they've stopped for food. The other night my boyfriend and I decided to see if they were open and I was excited that they were and ready for some good food. The boy taking our order must've had trouble hearing him give the order since he kept asking questions at the same time my bf was giving a response and his tone of voice was rude from the beginning asking were we ready yet. When we approached the window, he took our card to pay for the food then handed us the first drink and said "Dr. Pepper." My boyfriend replied "diet Dr. Pepper?". The boy got mad and rolled his eyes and repeated "Dr. Pepper." My bf told him it was suppose to be a diet and he yelled "that's not what you said" when my bf responded, a female in the window disagreed that my boyfriend didn't say diet bc she heard what he said too. Perhaps he didn't hear diet because he was busy saying small medium or large? at the same time, rushing us. They fixed a diet drink and handed it to him and began to argue that that's not what he said. Of course my bf told him to stop being rude and disrespectful and the boy snapped. Told my bf "why do you think your tough?" "Stop trying to act like you're black!" And some more rude racial comments before asking did we want our money back? My bf said yeah. They gave him a refund and I was disappointed because I really was wanting Jack in the box since it had been so long and I was hungry. We went across town to where we were headed and stopped at another one. Sad to say, it was permanently closed down. This one will be too, soon, with employees like the ones we just dealt with...
