I went in to Jane’s Hideaway last night with my boyfriend and we just sat ourselves because we didn’t see anyone at the front and there were lots of people and they’re just standing. We were sitting there for about 10 minutes before anyone came over to us and A man came over. It was super awkward and just kind of stood there and I asked him hey what’s up and he was pretty upset we had set ourselves. We told it was our first time there and we apologized but after that experience the night just kept getting worse. He was extremely rude to us very awkward. We watched him interact with other tables and he was smiling and joyful but with us he was cold short and rude. I told him that we would have two more friends coming and he rolled his eyes and was extremely rude. After that experience I told them just to stay home there’s no sense of being treated like this in a place you’re spending money. he never really came back after that but a female waitress waited on us and she was so sweet and amazing and when I went to pay I asked her does this tip go to you or him and she goes oh he’s the owner. He doesn’t accept tips and I could not believe that the owner would treat someone like that in their establishment. this really sucks that I had this negative experience because I really like the place and I know several people that perform there I would like to give it another chance, but right now there’s just a bitter...
Read moreNew bar where the old 308 used to be next to Dino's. They moved over from printers alley and it's really nice to have good craft cocktails back in this spot. They do live music as well with a lot of Americana and folk on the docket. Food is a little pricey for what it is but has been delicious. This location has large booths as well so great for a small party or date night. The venue overall is small though so be prepared to wait for a table on weekends. Cocktails are creative and priced in the mid teens. Good wine selection too. Bartenders are pretty knowledgeable with a mixologist vibe happening. One complaint, this has the most uncomfortable bar stools I have sat on in east Nashville and possibly ever. They are round tops awkwardly placed on a raised platform and especially if you are short your back will be hurting after a while. They can't be moved are hard to get down from and make it difficult to eat at the bar. the tube running the length of the bar that serves as a footrest is mounted in such a way that no one will be happy with it. Probably the only bar in Nashville I'd prefer a table at. Don't let that stop a visit just something to keep in mind if you like to hangout on a barstool for most of the night like I do. Parking at night in the Sherman Williams lot currently seems to be ok not sure if that will last. Very limited street parking on the...
Read moreHad a strange experience here earlier tonight. Came to see a show with my girlfriend and we sit down at a table and our server comes up to our table and practically sits down, doesn’t say a thing for like 45 seconds and then says.. can I help you? Apparently we missed that it wasn’t a seat yourself type of place. Okay our bad. He proceeded to bring us a menu after a decent wait and then was incredibly rude when we tried to order. Took forever with the drinks and we were kinda pissed. At this point a nice lady comes and takes over. She was great treated us very well. When we go to pay we asked about how the tip out works, wanted to make sure she got money and he didn’t. Turned out THE DUDE OWNS THE BAR. Come on man if you want people to come back don’t be so short with them lmao
Edit: after looking through other reviews it seems we aren’t the only ones who have had issues with this guy. Just putting it out there
