We have always loved this place at many different locations. My son and myself had lunch here in Nashville in the Opry Mills area due to our great past experiences. However, the visit at this specific location; we were let down. Initially there was not a hostess at the entrance desk. Finally, a loud hostess approached us and ask us to give her a minute_ That was fine even though the restaurant was not full at all. We politely ask the hostess to seat us in the most quiet and private section she could due to the fact we recently lost my son to murder. My son who was with me lost his brother alike_ we needed to discuss the murder trial that is taking place seeking justice for our late son and brother. We didn't want to be overheard to deter others from enjoying their lunch while discussing this painful subject. She took us straight to a table beside (2) tables of guests surrounding us?? We just looked at one another confused... Keep in mind; the restaurant was nearly empty. Then_ out of nowhere, it seemed she realized what she had done and very loudly led us to a much better end booth away from anyone. We thanked her and she responded that she was glad she realized what she had done and apologized. The waitress was prompt to attend us with drinks, upselling appetizers, and was very cordial. We ordered and reluctantly began our conversation regarding our late loved one_ All of a sudden, we heard the very loud and vocal hostess leading a large party of (7-8) to the big round table right beside our private little booth! She was oohing and ahhing, laughing loudly, and cracking jokes with the large party and vice versa. We were beyond shocked at what she was doing. There were ample large tables on both sides of the restaurant but she seated them literally on top of us! Sometimes people like us (who are not critical) do ask for a one-time request as in this case not only to eat but to discuss personal affairs as well. She looked at us like 'to he__ with your request' and needless to say; there was nothing accomplished. The food was decent but the way she treated us was very unacceptable and unprofessional. We ask for boxes and took our food back on the road with us. Managers, please pay closer attention to your hiring process. A bittersweet day turned into a circus thanks to this disrespectful hostess. We will not be back here and will relay this to our friends and family members...
Read moreWe recently visited from out of town and stayed at the hotel next door. We ordered food to go WELL before closing time. We walked next door to pick up our order that we paid for online (which was rather large) and could not get in the door as the doors were locked at 9:45pm (they closed at 10pm). We tried knocking, calling...no answer! We could see plenty of people sitting at tables and eating, there was also a considerable amount of people at the bar...including the bartender. One would think, if we could see them from the front doors, they could see us. Anyway, after continuing to call and knock...the bartender FINALLY came to open the door and she had quite the attitude! Almost like, how dare we knock on the door to get in. We immediately requested to speak with a manager. Manager came out and then went in the back to check on our order that was supposed to be ready at 9:40pm. Of course the order wasn't ready so we had to sit and wait another 15 minutes. There was another gentleman who came in after us who was having the same problem as well. While we were sitting waiting on the order to come out, we observed an armed guard patrolling the restaurant. In 41 years, I have never witnessed such a thing...security for a mediocre steakhouse??? Interesting. Anyway, we FINALLY received our order and not at any time did the manager or anyone for that matter, say so much as say sorry for the inconvenience or anything along those lines. Unreal! Once we walked back to our hotel and opened up the boxes of food, not only was the presentation terrible (like everything was just quickly thrown together) but EVERYTHING was cold!!! We have never been so disappointed with the service, quality and apparently safety of a restaurant in our lives! Needless to say, we obviously won't be back. This location needs serious help on all levels and I would not recommend any tourists go to...
Read moreLISTEN. I am the least karen person. Ive been a server for 5 years and worked at a restaurant where the clientele was terrible and so was the service alot of the times so I get it!!! I went there last night with my uncle and first off we waited about 10 min before anyone greeted us. no biggie! we order our beers, they take another 15 min to come out, server comes back and asks us if were ready to order and my uncle said he would rather get his beer first. she then goes and grabs the BOTTLE (so why did that need to take 15 min?) and brings it to him. we order our food. takes about 45 min for a med rare steak (which ended up coming out extra rare - look like it barely touched the grill) 3 tables around us were in and out before our food came out - they came in 20 minutes after us. Its also a monday night and they were not busy at all. we get our food, my uncle sends his steak back to be cooked up. it comes back out the same exact temp. so he sends it back again. comes back still a little undercooked but at this point we were like lets go back home and cook it. SO. she brings the bill, never asked us for refills or anything, and nobody offered to take anything off or ask us if we were okay. So I asked to talk to the manager, (3 different times and nobody would get him) he finally talks to me and argues with me for 10 min. He asks where I serve, I tell him and hes like "Oh I know the managers there I can talk to them" OK? go right on ahead! anyway, before we left I asked our server (who we still tipped 25%) what the managers name was and she didnt answer me. I asked again, no answer. Then I asked the bartender and she said "IDK" i was like how do you not know? She finally said Eric. Sooooooooooooo, do what you will with that...
