Postino: Where Friendship (and Bruschetta) Flourish! ~ @chefmommyrue
If there’s a perfect way to celebrate 16 years of friendship, it’s with bruschetta, wine, and vibes. And let me tell you— Postino in Nashville delivered all three in style!
The moment we stepped onto the outdoor patio, we knew we were in for something special. The setup was effortlessly chic yet cozy, with just the right amount of Nashville charm. A mix of vibey tunes played in the background, setting the mood, while the perfect weather wrapped around us like a warm hug. Comfortable seating, a lively yet relaxed atmosphere—it was the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time over great food and even better conversation.
And the food? Chef’s kiss.
We started with the Make Your Own Board, assembling a bruschetta lineup that deserves its own fan club. The brie, apple, and fig spread was a sweet and creamy delight, the mushroom and mascarpone tasted like dream (if you love mushrooms like i do)-the burrata, bacon, tomato and arugula was rich and decadent, and the salmon and pesto with capers brought smoky~zesty perfection.
Then came the meatballs with goat cheese, because no good meal should be without melty, saucy goodness. The seeded avocado toast was a welcome balance of crunch and creaminess, and we paired everything with a bottle of Orange Bonny Doon wine, because brunch without wine is just a meeting.
Our experience was made even better by Janelle, who provided top-tier service (including my much-needed midday coffee), and Cam, the GM, who took time to chat with us and make us feel right at home.
And just when we thought we were done, dessert said, “Not so fast.” The Olive Oil Cake with house yogurt whip and amarena cherries was delicate and dreamy, while the Cartal Coffee Brownie with cookie batter and vanilla bean ice cream was a chocolatey masterpiece.
From start to finish, Postino was the ultimate brunch spot—a little bit elegant, a little bit laid-back, and 100% delicious. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or just craving incredible food in a beautiful setting, this place is a must-visit.

Read moreWent here for a girls night/my birthday celebration. Our server was very sweet and asked if we were celebrating anything, so we told her my birthday. She asked if she could bring a glass of champagne on the house and I said sure! Also ordered a glass of wine. My friend and I were there for a total of 4 hours just catching up and eating. The bruschetta board was amazing and I loved getting to customize what we wanted. We had some other friends join us about 3 hours in so we went to order another drink (1 glass of champagne, 3 glasses of wine at this point) and the waitress took our order, but then came back soon after with a manager and told me that there was a four drink maximum so they could not bring me the next drink. Now, I understand their four drink max policy, but I have a couple issues with it. Firstly, this is a wine bar. People want to come here to drink wine. They are not expecting to have a drink maximum. Secondly, this policy is not listed anywhere on the menu or at the restaurant and was only told to me once I hit the max. So I would not have accepted the glass of champagne if I knew this counted against me. Also to have the manager come over and essentially cut me off after we had been there for so long and had basically one glass of wine per hour, along with food made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Needless to say, I will not be returning to...
Read moreI have never experienced such awful experience at a restaurant in my life. The service was atrocious, and I was so excited to find out that Nashville had a Postino. My sandwich was made incorrectly, missing 2 key ingredients. I waited 10 minutes for my server to even acknowledge me and she only said "what's wrong" when another server told her I was looking around for her. I explained what was wrong and she asked "do you want me to take it back" quite rudely. She then proceeded to go around to every table around me for 20 minutes without even glancing my way. The rest of my party had finished their food before she came to the table NEXT to us where she finally looked at me and said "oh I will get your food soon". I asked her to remove the sandwich from my bill and to bring the check. She was extremely rude after that as well, no sincerity whatsoever for her choices. You could tell she was prioritizing the 8 top table for a bigger check, over my small 2 person party. I am disheartened because I have been to Postinos all around the country and have never experienced this poor service. I will not be back to the...
