Fantastic Experience at 12 South Taproom and Grill!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at 12 South Taproom and Grill during my visit to Nashville, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! From the moment our group of 12 walked in on New Years Eve the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were reeling from a horrible experience at a restaurant around the corner "Bottle Cap", which I highly recommend avoiding. The staff at 12 South were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, making sure our needs were met throughout the evening. The service was prompt, and the team went above and beyond by keeping the kitchen open late to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely delicious! The menu offers a fantastic variety, and each dish we tried was a great. Whether you're a fan of classic pub fare or looking for something more adventurous, 12 South Taproom and Grill has something to satisfy every palate with a Gluten Free Menu as a bonus!! The drink selection was equally impressive, with a diverse range of craft beers and cocktails.
It's clear that 12 South Taproom and Grill takes pride in creating a welcoming space where guests can relax and savor great food and drinks while enjoying the vibrant Nashville scene. I can't recommend 12 South Taproom and Grill enough. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to add this hidden gem to your list.
Cheers to the fantastic team at 12 South Taproom and Grill for helping recover our...
Read moreUPDATED 7/9/18: The owner responded to me and was very kind. He took care of us ensured our satisfaction. We'll chalk it up to an unusual experience and say thank you very much-we love this place.
Let us take a moment to observe the ratio of tortilla to the sad little piece of blackened salmon on this "taco." This $3.50 Taco (including tax). So sad! I asked for a bit more salmon. Response:
"sorry bro, it's all weighed out in the kitchen. It would really throw them off to have to bring another out."
Throw them off? Throw what off? Throw off a good customer? I've worked in "the industry." I realize the taproom sees hundreds of customers (perhaps even a thousand in a weekend). I would suppose I would be treated well, despite the volume.
I am proudly a resident of the 12S neighborhood, and man, what a night at the taproom! What a disappointment! Other observations:
Great tap selection Love the joint, it's awesome. What is so difficult about giving good customer service when someone (me) paid $48 for two meals,...
Read moreMy husband & I and our two children have been to this restaurant over a dozen times over the years. Last Sunday, my sister and her husband joined us for lunch, making it a total of 6. Our children (6 & 8 years old) didn’t eat as they weren’t hungry. Upon getting our check we realized the server added gratuity. We were servers in college, we never leave less than 20% tip. Also it’s etiquette to inform the customer you are added gratuity since it’s often over looked and the server gets double tipped. Gratuity is often used when a server has a large table and does a lot of work and wants to make sure they are compensated. This servers didn’t do anything special and I’m pretty sure a food runner delivered our food. We had 4 entrees for 4 people and were out of there in maybe 30 minutes. I don’t know if she thought we were Nashville tourist that don’t tip but it’s incredibly offensive. The tip culture and poor service is getting out of hand.
Nonetheless, we won’t be back anytime soon. I would not recommend this place. Medicore food and...
