Here's a picture of my wife at the urgent care center less than 30 minutes after eating at Rafferty's. She had an allergic reaction WHILE eating her salad after informing the server that she was "highly allergic" to tomatoes. The server told us "no problem, I'll make sure to let them know." Now, to me, that means my wife should have been able to rest assured that there were no tomatoes and eat her food without worry. If they couldn't reasonably accommodate her request, we should have been told and we would have chosen another dish to order. In a restaurant that has $10-25 entrees, i don't think that's unreasonable to expect. My wife actually found something in her salad that she suspected was a tomatoe and when i observed it, it did seem to be a piece of tomatoe. I even put it in my mouth to check its texture. When we brought it to the server's attention, she took the food away to show her manager. By this time, my wife's mouth had begun to tingle and her throat/neck/arms began to itch (which is exactly what happens when she eats fresh tomatoe). The manager on duty came over and said "well, first of all, it's definitely not a tomatoe." THAT'S THE FIRST THING OUT OF HIS MOUTH!!!! All I'll say is don't go here if you have any concerns about knowing what's really in your food. P.s. they did comp my wife's salad. We'll see if they take care of the medical bill.

TLDR: Great service, fast, good portions, fair price, but bring your own drink or get something bottled. Long Version: Our server was Jack. He was the perfect balance of attentiveness. That in of itself is a rarity. There was no wait to have a seat at lunch time on a monday. Our wait after ordering seemed nonexistent. I was quite surprised by the shear amount of chicken on the chicken finger platter. Other similar restaurants would give less than half for the flame price. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The only reason I cannot give them a 5 star rating was the drinks. As a tip always order a water first. If there is an odd taste to the water it is an indicator the drink machine lines are not clean. Sadly that was the case at this visit. As someone that has managed restaurants in the past this is easy to over look. It is also fairly easy to fix. Since most customers will order a soda it is not likely to be noticed. We will be back despite the drinks.

Our recent family gathering of nine was significantly impacted by the restaurant's inflexible seating policy. Despite other parties of eight being allowed to combine tables, our request to do the same was denied, even after speaking with the manager (an older gentleman with a ponytail and glasses). His response was dismissive and rude. Had we known about this restriction beforehand, we would have chosen a different venue. While our server was excellent, the food took over an hour to arrive. As evidenced by the attached photo, the restaurant does allow combined seating for groups of eight. This inconsistent policy, coupled with the manager's poor attitude, ensures we will not be returning.

Where do I start… I’m not one to complain, but this dining experience (6:30pm 6/28/21) was quite awful.

When we got there, we were immediately seated by the hostess as there wasn’t really many patrons. After being seated, we waited a good 20 minutes before our waitress, Laura, finally acknowledged we were even there.

She vaguely apologized and asked for our drink orders. Which is the point where our dining experience started off poorly.

We ordered two Coca-Colas and it took roughly 10-15 minutes before she brought them out to us. “Reminder, the restaurant was pretty empty with several servers”. We took a sip from both our drinks and they were both flat. Which the waiter responded, “they’re flat aren’t they.” We acknowledged that is was, which she responded, “yeah our CO2 sensor is acting up, let me get you another one.”

She brought us back two more Cokes, which of course they were still flat. She waited again, knowing they weren’t going to be any better, and offered to get us either lemonades or Sweat Teas or water.

We asked for lemonades and a water, she said she would go grab them real quick. Several minutes later we finally got the lemonades, which unfortunately they weren’t any good either. Our waitress, offered to get something else for us and said, “I know they weren’t any good.”

At this point, already over the dining experience truthfully, we ordered our appetizer and two entrees. “Buffalo chicken Mac for appetizer, California burger, and chicken salad croissant with soup”.

When I ordered the chicken salad croissant with soup, I asked the waitress several times about pecans/nuts being mixed in the chicken salad, as I have a severe nut allergy. “If it was, it wasn’t a big deal I had another meal picked out.” Our waitress advised me that it was only topped with pecans and could easily be left off with no issues. So I , trusting her and her advisement went ahead and ordered it.

The food came out fairly quickly thanks to the help of another server, was warm and decent enough, with one notable exception. The chicken salad, which was ordered without pecans and with the waitress knowing it was a health concern, still came out with the crushed pecans on top and throughout the plate.

We had to flag down our original waitress to which she took one look at the plate and immediately knew the issue. She took the plate back to the kitchen and had it replaced. When she brought the plate out, she did apologize and said the order ticket did say to leave off the pecans.

After we finally finished what we were going to eat there, we waited at least a solid 15 minutes on our waitress to finally come back by the table to check on us and see if we were finished. “Several severs/managers walked by and never asked if we could be helped or even just acknowledged that we were there or how our dining experience was going.” We asked for our ticket and two to-go boxes.

Remember, there wasn’t many patron there’s during this timeframe and it still took another 10 minutes to get our ticket and she still had to go back and get our to-go boxes.

Overall this was a pretty bad experience, not one that I truthfully would like to repeat. Which is a shame, because we came here on recommendations and previous praises. We drove from Lebanon to dine here and it was a wasted trip in my opinion.

We paid full price for our meals and didn’t complain about doing so. But a simple acknowledgment from management about the numerous issues we had during our dining experience would have been appreciative. Not once did our waitress or manager offered to acknowledge the issues we experienced, other than our waitress saying, “yeah I knew that would be a problem, etc.”. The lack of management acknowledging known issues, returned meals, and poor dining experiences etc,is very...

Would give a ZERO if it was a choice Wanted to bring my 75 year old mother from Texas to this place. Went for lunch today, mind you rush hour was over at 1pm. Checked in for table for 3. Was asked if our entire party was present, let them know yes, (we had 3 on premises ,one on phone call in car) .NEVER were we told they wouldn't seat us if all weren't in their sight..... The hostess preceded to seat 2 parties a head of us. When I approached to ask why we were being passed on for seating she told us since we only had 2 of the 3 in the waiting area they would not seat us. I explained again the 3rd was in car on a call and I was going to order his food once we were seated, that we are on a lunch schedule and really needed to start the order ASAP. I was told that was not their policy , they had to see the person. I asked for the manager , he proceeded to tell me it has been this policy for 21 years and I am not the exception, I let him know I would understand if our 3rd person was not there, BUT he was, and we will be ordering for him so that once he was off his call he could have his food waiting, again denied, at this point I demanded to be seated and was denied. They proceeded to tell me I could not speak to them that way and I would have to wait (all while the hostess was rolling her eyes at me). All I asked for was to be seated so we could start the order, we aren't going to sit too long at the table if that was what they were worried about....they took another party of 2 back before me again as I was talking to the manager. My 3rd person came in and now they do not have a table for us and would be another 5 min. I have never been treated this rudely by hostess or manager. If they would have told me this when we signed in then we would not have waited for the table or I could have called the 3rd party and asked that he complete the call in the waiting area (which would have been rude to the person he was conducting business with on the other end) I will never eat here again due to the lack of customer service and the hostess talking to me in a degrading manner and constantly rolling her eyes at me, telling me I would not treat her like a dog. Maybe they need to try and not treat their customers like a dog....if I were to ever return, will ask for a table for the amt of ppl I have in the waiting area( today would have been 2) and let the 3rd person come when he finished is call. Hate that we would have to do that just to be seated....horrible experience We were eating here once a week UNTIL TODAY , will never return as the management was just as inconsiderate...

I met with a friend on a Thursday after the lunch rush, at 1:15pm. We sat at a table in the bar area, not the main restaurant. He had water, I had iced tea and we discussed having a cocktail, if his meeting was canceled. He arrived 1st. The table was sticky and he politely pointed it out and asked for it to be wiped down. (He was in a nice suit) He said she huffed, wiped it aggressively and asked w/ tone, "Is this clean enough for you?" He let it go.

After we got our drinks, she asked about food and just stared when we said just the drinks for now. 2 minutes later this man walked up and asked, "why are you here if you aren't going to eat?" No hello. No welcome. No pleasantries whatsoever. My friend, "Is there a problem?" The man, "Do you not have an office you can go to to talk?! She is a single mother and this is how she makes a living so you being here is taking money out of her pocket to feed her kids!" I immediately asked if he was the manager and if not, please get him. He stated he was! Now, I've NEVER in my career dealt w/ such a horrible manager so I question THAT but my friend remained calm and said, "regardless of we order food,we'd tip her well. We are in the bar area but understand how this works." The manager very flambountly tosses his hands in the air and even louder proclaims, "this is a restaurant not a business office!" and flounced away. We stayed 30min and still left her several dollars (which WAS less than she'd have seen had we not been verbally attacked by her manager due to her complaining). EVEN STILL, she got the same if we'd left 20% on an appetizer order. It just so happens they both insulted a very wealthy man in this town who normally would've left a $10 tip for delivering a couple of drinks because THAT'S the type of people we are. We had been there less than 5 mins, he had people in the restaurant looking at us, most mouthing WOW to us, NOT because of us but the scene that was made and the complete lack of respect and unprofessionalism displayed by the manager. Needless to say, I'll also be sending this to their corporate offices and/or owner of...
