Arrived from London after a direct flight on BA to see the City for the first time.
SHN is a great House and very comfortable with a good vibe. Staff through the house very friendly and aiming to please.
As always SH rooms generously sized, comfortable and well stocked with great bedding and bathroom stuff.
Slight issue being on the road so low floors suffer from noise or darkness if on the side of the building. Luckily we managed to move from 1st to the 3rd floor as being low down was annoying.
Worst issue for us was that no one advises on check in one needs to reserve pool beds nor does anyone think to tell you at anytime when you go to reception to talk about activities and they know you are coming back to the house early afternoon. ….
Downside of this SH is location is it is off the beaten path relative to chaos of Broadway, plus suffers from being cut off when the railway tracks are in use with long goods trains running past or stationary. Always seemed to happen to us when heading out or coming back !!!!
I think it’s time the club food menus are slightly localised as we have been fortunate enough to eat in three different SH venues across two counties this week and the menu becomes a little boring. As always food very solid offering.
Strangely mobile phone signal (TMobile) very poor in the area of SH but always poor generally on Nashville City.
In some respect nice to be off the main hustle of the city...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Honestly, if you’re an average person looking for a nice place to stay for a weekend, DO NOT STAY at this hotel. They charged us twice once when we booked months ago and once when we arrived (we’re not stupid there was literally no place else to go since so many acts were in town). They also charged us different amounts on the two different statements. They said they were looking into it, and since it’s a pretty penny we wanted them to have our number in case they worked anything out (you know so we could actually have some play money since we’re there 3 days…) They seemed not urgent at all and when asked about it at checkout the lady conveniently said her manager was working on it, but had no updates. We chose to valet park as they weren’t very up front that you could park yourself, and they literally left our keys in our vehicle (unlocked with $1,000 worth of our personal electric scooters) all night long. They searched for our keys for at least 7 minutes before I remembered I have an AirTag on my keys and had to prove to them that they were left in my unattended car in their valet parking lot. Spent the first 3 hours of our vacation crying and we couldn’t be more disappointed...
Read moreTwo people were sitting in the coffee bar area. I waited & waited for someone to acknowledge me despite the front desk being staffed next to the bar. I walked to the front desk & greeted them so I could be acknowledged. They said they would get someone. I asked for a menu. I waited. One guy made a bunch of drinks..another guy waited at the counter. I waited at my table. I was able to order after 15 min in an empty space. I guess I didn't see I needed to ask for eggs separate and extra since the menu layout was odd. Guy asked if I wanted to start a tab before I even started eating with an incorrect meal. Eggs came out later. It took about 30-40 min to get food on the table in an empty space late Saturday morning. Thank you for the introduction. I learned a lot. Also, I can't understand why there are no coasters for the wood tables.
I started getting bothered when your staff kept talking to me while wanting me to pay while your card reader kept cancelling my order and finding out the hard way you don't take Discover before I even received my food. But then they kept coming back again & again with the card reader. Please let me eat my food even if it is wrong before...
