The Salty — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This trendy breakfast spot just opened in Nashville, and we were really excited to check it out since we had a great experience at their Dallas location a few months ago.

We came by around 9 a.m. on a Sunday, and the place was already buzzing. Even with the crowd, we only waited about 5 minutes to get seated, and they were handing out some nice freebies while we waited—always a plus! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating; we opted to sit outside and enjoy the sunny morning.

What we ordered:

Avocado Toast A thick slice of perfectly toasted bread topped with fresh avocado slices and a drizzle of flavorful sauce. Super crunchy and satisfying—I’d absolutely recommend this one.

Honey & Sea Salt Cragel A cross between a croissant and a bagel, with a honey-glazed, slightly salty exterior. The texture reminded me of a soft pretzel—chewy but light. It was unique and delicious.

Iced Matcha Latte Strong matcha flavor, balanced nicely with milk and just the right touch of sweetness. Honestly, better than what you’d get at most chain coffee shops.

Iced Latte A bit sweet for my taste, but my wife really liked it. A solid option if you’re into a sweeter latte.

Im ecstatic to have my favorite donut shop in South Tampa to open up shop in my part of town 🥰 I tried them out for the first time a little over a year ago and was pleasantly surprised at how much they tasted like European donuts (just with a lot more toppings)! The dough reminds me of the Polish donuts called ”Pączki”, as they have dont have preservatives and only stay fresh for less than a day. Love that they are made in house daily just like back home. The staff is always so pleasant and cheerful when ordering and I’ve never waiting long for anything. Also don’t get me started on how clean their kitchens and shops are!!

A friend and I came to their Seminole Heights GO and got a chance to score some free items. We got the everything cragel, Oreo cake donut holes, and three donuts: the strawberry dress, leches, guava and cheese, and the brown sugar peach cobbler. I went to check out The Salty (Donut) in 12 south today as I'm so excited we had a location open in Nashville this summer! I used to live in Miami and would visit their location in Wynwood at least once a month, so I am super excited to have these amazing donuts nearby now! The store front is super cute and in a great area of 12 South. I loved that the staff was so sweet and that there was both indoor and outdoor seating available. I tried to vanilla iced latte and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet! I also got 2 donuts, the chocolate cake (to die for!) and the brown butter & salt cake (also good, but not as good as the chocolate). I love this style of donut more than those that are branded as "multi-layers" because these donuts had a perfect kind of consistency and weight to them. I also ordered the ham & cheese croissant, which was my favorite food item! The ham and cheese were so delicious in a perfectly flakey croissant crust. I can't wait to go back and get...
