A small, quiet place with seating for up to 50 guests. I tried the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli and some Vietnamese egg rolls. The server was attentive and my order arrived relatively quickly except for the egg rolls. I had already finished my entre by the time they arrived. I was told they had broken and had to cook a new batch (when I worked at a Chinese restaurant many years ago the skins on the eggrolls would break after sitting too long in the walk in and drying out. The solution then was to tear off the wrappers and roll the filling into new wrappers, I'm not saying this is what happened, just saying. Many places buy premade eggrolls anyway) No matter, they were ok and hot. If you're used to the crisp rolls you find in Houston you will likely be disappointed with these. They are rolled in wheat wrappers and not the crispy rice paper more common further West, still crisp but not crunchy. The veggies served with the eggrolls consisted of a small amount of shredded pickled carrots and a single 4"x3" piece of iceberg lettuce with a small side of fish sauce. Don't expect the mountain of romaine lettuce, coriander, and basil served in other places. The grilled shrimp and pork with vermicelli had decent flavor: anise, onion, caramel sauce, and fish sauce. The vermicelli were thin, angel-hair like as opposed to the slightly thicker versions elsewhere. Bean sprouts and chopped iceberg lettuce with a little more shredded pickled carrots accompanied the meat and the usual fried shallots, green onion, and peanuts. Portions were on the light side with the bulk of the dish consisting of bean sprouts and lettuce, a cup of vermicelli, three shrimp, and 4-5 half inch strips of pork. Overall, the experience was not unpleasant. It was slightly irritating having my appetizer for desert but at least it came. The prices are a bit high considering the lower quality of ingredients, the staff is pleasant, and the space is quiet.

1st time to dine at Cali Kitchen. Very "family owned" feel to this restaurant. We had the Salt-n-Pepper Wings and Egg Rolls for Appetizers, with Hot Tea (very good). Our main courses were the #18 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the #39 Grilled Beef Vermicelli, both Excellent!! Although they seemed really busy with pick-up and to-go orders, our food came out promptly, and the open design allowed for plenty of room between tables for in person dining. Pricing was affordable enough that we also ordered the Chicken Curry to go.

I spotted the sign from the highway which was a great investment by the way I been living here for two years never knew this place existed but I’m glad I found it the food and service is excellent and I will be back I had charbroiled spring rolls and combination pho which was so satisfying and it was worth the money the avocado smoothie was delicious

This use to be the only restaurant in the Mid-County area where I would eat. But after today, I doubt I will ever go back! I always order to-go because my work schedule is very, very tight and because of the nature of my work I cannot be late - at all. Cali Kitchen has been reliable for me to place my orders and make it to work on time.

Today I place my order at 7:04 pm. (using my iphone time). I arrived at Cali Kitchen at 7:16, paid, and was told the order would be right out. While I waited, two parties arrived, were seated, ordered and received their meals. At 7:46 I was still waiting and none of the three wait staff even tried to let me know why my order was taking so long. When I finally asked, at 7:46, I was told "it would be ready soon..."

It was already too late and I had to go to work. I paid for a meal I did not even receive but I had to go. I explained this to them but I do not think they even care. A little information? An apology for the delay? Nothing!

I was their loyal customer until today.

Highly disappointed, and sadly, I will be very hungry at work for the...

This place is fantastic! We live in Nederland but will usually drive into Beaumont for good pho. We recently discovered Cali Kitchen and I am blown away by how delicious this broth is! I have always been a fan of using red onion + white onion, and they do. They also have a great selection of milk tea here, which is delicious on it's own as a treat. My favorite part about this place is its spring rolls. Every pho place I go, I try the spring rolls and have never had any better than these. The ingredients they use are perfectly proportioned and very fresh. They do not overdo or underdo them. I'm so happy that we found Cali Kitchen and will definitely be eating here as a...
