Service was very prompt and so polite. This was our first time at a Laynes and the cashier gave me recommendations. So many more options than Cane's and pricing is much better! The chicken and fries were fresh and crispy and not too overseasoned. The bread stayed fresh for the entire meal so I was able to save it for last and it didn't get soggy. Loved it! Read moreNovroskis next door and Canes down the street have larger, thicker strips than here. 12 bucks for 4 glorified chicken nuggets is highway robbery and i was left hungry. Im sorry, but they need to step it up if they want to see long term success next door to 2 restaurants that sell cheaper (my volume and size) chicken strips.
As for service however, it was fast. Sketchy fast. 5 minutes for fried chicken that had almost no sign of grease on it.
Employees where nice, however.
And the atmosphere is pretty retro and cool, but "Soon To Be Famous since 1994" tells alot if youve been going for 40 years.

Read moreThe only reason I put one star is because you need to let your customers know that you use a lot of pepper and that Begin said if you are highly allergic or sensitive to black pepper this is not the best place to go eat at. I didn't know that and I ate there or should I say tried to eat there. Also there sauces have black pepper in them as well. Now I'm paying for something that was not told to me in the beginning.
