A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Neenah

Went to this A&W tonight. Pulled up to order at 7:54. Sat there in silence for 5 minutes. At 7:59, someone comes on the mic and says, "I'm sorry. We close at 8 o'clock tonight." I said, "I'm sorry. I've been sitting here for 5 minutes." The response was "I am sorry about that". It's still not 8 o'clock yet. Like....what? At this point there is a line of cars behind me. What restaurant closes when it's broad day light and there is a line of cars around the building? It should be noted that as I'm writing this review, their online hours say they are open until 9pm. It's 8:40 now. I eat at this location probably 2-3 times per week and at least one of those times, I'll have my daughter with me. If the management of this restaurant happens to be reading this, I'm the guy that always gets the number 2 combo with just ketchup, mustard, and mayo. I'm willing to bet that almost every employee will recognize my order. If this isn't rectified, my weekly business will be...

Tried to order outside, and due to “employee shortage,” we had to come into the lobby to order. I didn’t think anything of it and was totally Understanding until I went in to order and there were about 6 employees total. Mind you, it was around 8:30pm so not busy at all. Then I ordered two ice cream treats and waited for about 20 minutes for them…. And there was only one person ahead of me. I sat down in their waiting area and could see into the kitchen while I was waiting, and 4/6 employees were standing around not doing much. Then, i had to remind them what I ordered because they forgot and were dragging. Not to mention, it’s absolutely filthy in this place. My friend and I came here around 2:20. We ordered our food and sat down. There were 3 boys sitting here as well being very obnoxious. When the 2 females brought us our food, we said thank you and neither of them said you’re welcome. The one who brought food for my friend looked very rude and only seemed to care about the boys that were sitting there. Then they went back to the kitchen but the boys were talking to them very loudly and the 2 girls came back out and was talking with them. They seemed very childish and didn’t seem to care much about their job nor who was listening to them talk very loudly in front of everyone.
