NEVER try here on a holiday or busy day. We have been coming here for 2 years and love the food, it is great Sushi. However, Valentines Day they were in complete and utter disarray with managing the incoming orders. There were 20-30people continuously in the doorway waiting for an update on their orders for almost 2hrs. Each one told 15-20min. I ordered pickup, app said ready at 5:40p. At 5:55p I went up and she printed my ticket and hung it up. I’d say 5-6 people cancelled orders, multiple were told they hadn’t started theirs yet. At 7:00p I went back up and asked what’s my status, at which point she went back, pulled it down, and said they’d start on it now. I understand busy holidays and some inconvenience , but having no system to manage order sequence while taking phone orders and printing Uber orders like a casino jackpot… not acceptable. I, along with multiple people I started waiting with, ended up getting our food in about 1.75hrs from when the ticket was printed… about 2.25hrs from when the order was placed. The part that really set me off was that when a new person would come in they would give them the 15-20 talk and throw them in front of the last 10 people they told that to. Absolutely zero...
Read moreWas really hoping this place was going to be a good addition to Neenah. I have to admit the sushi was alright but everything else was lacking. The dining area was way to small to be considered a dining room. The set up was unimpressive; you walk in and they hand you a paper menu and say dine in or take out. The person then said look at the menu and order at counter. Okay, so it's a fast food sushi establishment. You then order at the counter, it takes 45 to 50 minutes for your order to make it to the counter. They walk out with a tray screaming food items and you're supposed to say that's ours. They don't ask for your receipt or order number, just yell out food items and expect the customers to yell out that's mine. After waiting, and your order finally making it to the table, it's wrong or missing items. When you are ready to order, you grab your drinks from a fridge off to the side and pay for the entire meal ahead of time. The price is not worth fast food sushi. The restaurant was cold and unfeeling, with janky tables and chairs. The entire experience was lacking and I don't see this place lasting very long unless they make some...
Read morePros: Fish tasted fresh, generous portion of fish in rolls. Mochi was good. Friendly counter staff.
Cons: No dishes - everything served in tiny little takeout trays even when dining in. No fresh wasabi or ginger, given takeout packets of these for dine in meal which was not tasty and was a bit off putting. Sweet and sour sauce for egg rolls not good at all. No cups of water available, have to purchase bottles if you want a water with your meal. Priced similarly to Osaka / Nakashima’s ($60 for two people eating two rolls and eggrolls). Interior not in very good shape, was dirty (floor, bathrooms, cobwebs, etc). Transformation from previous Pagonis restaurant looks like it was rushed, new coat of paint on walls and ceiling looks really bad and rushed.
Overall, the fish itself was good, won’t be back though as the experience leaves a lot to be desired. Was hoping for more from this place as a good sushi place could do very well in Neenah. I don’t think this restaurant will be around still in a year’s time. Would be a good option for...
