J. Anthony Jewelers — Local services in Neenah

I am grateful to be a local resident and business owner in Neenah, WI. Recently I am starting to understand the impact that companies can make on our communities. They come and they go and at times, leaving a lasting impression on our hearts. Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. I have been a customer of J. Anthony Jewelers for only 3-4 years. But I can tell you that in my personal experiences, I have been welcomed, valued, remembered and cared for each time. I understand that not everyone may have the same experiences as I have, but here is two examples of why I believe we as a community might see value in continuing to support J. Anthony Jewelers and keep them in business.

When I decided to ask the woman I adored to marry me, I came to Ben for help. He listened to me. He helped me choose a ring that was modest yet classy and would not tear a latex glove. These things mattered to me.

Years later when they needed some work done on the store, they remembered me and gave my business an opportunity to work for them. Shortly after we started I realized I under bid the job. I spoke with Joe (Owner), he was compassionate with me and understood that these things can happen. He was kind and renegotiated our original terms. I hope he knows just how much that meant to me.

I will not say J. Anthony's is perfect, because no business is perfect, but when I needed them, they were ready and able to help me far more than I expected...

While this Jeweler has wonderful customer service and great products I am afraid I could not recommend going to them to design anything. Joe was very accommodating when I went in to design my engagement ring. He listened to what I wanted and the computer image looked perfect. Once it was done I had to point out 4 or 5 things on different occasions that I was not happy about. Dents, details added that I had not asked for, not including something I had asked for, losing a diamond (one with sentimental value) and a bad diamond setting.

After only 6 months I ended up losing a side diamond because it just wasn't set right. All the diamonds had sentimental value so I was very upset. They put in a new diamond but when I went to go pick it up I had to point out again that it was still not what I had asked for. It seems to be set correctly now but I really worry about losing another one.

I felt I had to keep point out things that a jeweler should not have missed. In the future I may have it melted down and created at a different jewelers. I am just not as excited as I was when I initially went in to design the ring.

Again, they are wonderful if you want to buy a premade piece of jewelry. They are also very knowledgeable and told me the history behind my engagement diamond which was very interesting. I just would not recommend them to create something...

Ben, his family and the team at J Anthony Jewelers were extremely helpful when I began to search for my girlfriend's engagement ring. I wanted it to be a complete surprise for her so with the mental notes I had heard from her, I sought after Ben's knowledge and advice on diamonds & engagement rings. He helped me throughout the process where I stopped in a couple times to gather more information/advice. He described the differences between independent & national jewelry shops, gave further insight into the 4 C's and made sure I understood by showing the differences between multiple diamonds under the microscope. The personal touch by the entire team, finding the right, unique diamond and identifying the best ring itself led to a very successful & overwhelmingly positive experience with J Anthony Jewelers. Furthermore, Ben was in constant contact and made sure I knew when the engagement ring had arrived. I look forward to going in to J Anthony's with my fiance and introducing her to everyone there so she can see how friendly & caring they all are. I definitely recommend Ben, Joe, Amy & everyone part of J Anthony Jewelers as a place where customer service and making sure the future bride & groom are extremely happy/confident in what they chose!
