Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Neosho

On June 23rd 2024, I was traveling from North Dakota, and going 30 hours South. I stopped here to eat lunch with my children. This was my birthday. I was DEVASTATED when I realized I had left/lost my wallet there. I did not notice this until 7 hours South. I do not know what customer turned my wallet in, but I sure would love to know so that I could thank them and send them something to show my appreciation! 🙏🏼🫶🏻 You see, I have a little boy that died. There was a locket of his hair in this wallet, and coins my other children had given me. This wallet was irreplaceable. I need to recognize and acknowledge 4 AMAZING employees by name. SHAWN AND NATE received the wallet and kept in communication with me about updates. TORI got messages to the GM for me very promptly… Then there’s John. He went in on his off day, got the package I sent to mail the wallet in, and delivered it safely to the post office for me, and provided me with updates. I met Nate personally the day I was there. He was very kind. The service here was great, the employees are wonderful, and the food was really good! 👍🏼 TO WHATEVER CUSTOMER TURNED IN MY WALLET RATHER THAN KEEPING IT, TRASHING IT OR IGNORING IT ALL TOGETHER, I TRULY HOPE AND PRAY NOTHING BUT AMAZING, GREAT THINGS COME TO YOU IN LIFE. Love and kindness and humanity keep the world going and loving. It is contagious, and in a negative world… THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT I SAY ALL THE TIME. GOOD AND LOVE WILL...

Honestly, the food was fantastic and the service was really fast and friendly. The two girls working were very nice and smiled and interacted well. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked as were the hushpuppies. The Cole slaw was good as well. Now, the ladies working probably needed to give a little more attention to cleaning up the lobby and the condiment area (quite a few dirty tables) and the ownership should probably look into just a light spruce up. No full remodel needed but a little bit of paint (especially the interior windowsills) would go a long way. The booths were pretty rough in some places as well. In the end, I'm still giving 5 stars because I was that impressed with the food and service but I probably would give 4 stars if either of those weren't true 10/10...

Lots of star qualifiers in this store. Really only one star qualifier removerator. (yes. That's a new word🙃) LJS in our region is harder to find nowadays, and overall quality is not like the old days, but what is? This store was clean and inviting, music being played was enjoyable, the counter service was very good and food came out fresh and hot. 1 star yanked is not a reflection on the store's performance, but for the changes in the menu. We always share the fish/chicken, 2 sides meal that comes with a drink. Now, that choice would easily cost upwards of $15 due to included drink being removed, plus fish fillet appeared noticeably smaller. Shrinkflation strikes again. We enjoyed our experience, will return when...
