Tony's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Neptune City

i have been getting tony’s chicken noodle soup for several years here and there… it was always fresh, never had an issue. i ordered the soup tonight for myself and my daughter and there were about 8 flies in it… now i get it, it’s hot out there’s bugs but that many in the soup AND it gets served?? to top of it off, i called and the lady basically responded with “there’s no way, the soup is fresh” what does that mean lol. she proceeded to ask if i wanted a new soup delivered. like WHAT, why would i want a bug infested soup, are we lacking common sense here? i wish i would of recorded the phone calls. it’s not about the 10 bucks, i don’t need it. it’s the way she tried to tell me i was lying but in a different way. NEVER againnnnnnn. they lost my buisness for good. who knows how many flies i ate before i even realized. 😡😡

I'm 49, I was born in Brooklyn and lived in NY for 13 years as a child and 3 more as a Law Student. I'm a brutal rater of quality. The pizza here is the best tasting pizza I've ever had in NJ, and as good as any pizza I had in NY or Florida.

Crispy crust, but not the crack down the middle crust. Good sauce. Thick cheese, better than (names redacted).

Note: my cooking friend tell me the drip from pizza is lower quality cheese...well if that's true gimmie the bad cheese. It didn't reheat as well as the local pizza, and it drips alot.

My wife was in labor and delivery at Jersey Shore and they wouldn't take the order without talking to a nurse first and gettingher personal cell phone number. Nurses were too busy and told us to order from a different pizza shop that doesn't give them a hard time. Like they don't have enough to do without worrying about take-out food! They not only ran our credit card anyway without delivering or confirming the order but they added a tip for the nonexistent delivery person! Hospital policy is not to use them anymore! Ordered from another shop same thing and it was easy, delivered no problem, and $8 cheaper. This place should be ashamed...
