Back on the 4th of July, I decided to host a backyard party with some friends and family. As the drinks flowed, so did the number of guests—and eventually, the hunger set in.
We quickly realized we were under-supplied and unprepared to feed everyone, so I placed a last-minute order through DoorDash with WindMill of Asbury Park to help with damage control. I was initially worried about my order, especially because I was requesting specific items like utensils, sides, and to-go cups. To make sure everything would go smoothly, I called the store directly.
That’s when I had the pleasure of speaking with Juanita.
Juanita went above and beyond to make sure I not only felt confident about my order but that I was completely satisfied. Everything arrived fresh, fast, and perfectly packed. Her attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference—she truly saved the day, and everyone at the party was thrilled.
I promised Juanita two months ago that I would write this review, and I’m here to uphold that promise. She is the kind of person who defines what great customer service looks like, especially at locally owned restaurants. Even though I live closer to another WindMill location, I will now go out of my way to visit the Ocean Grove store because of her hospitality and care.

Read moreMy mom and I went this place last night for an order of cheesy fries, and she ( my mother) was a little skeptical about it because the last time she went, the older Hispanic lady was very rude to her. Made her stand on a specific side of the register and when my mom tried to tell her things she did and didn’t want on her burger, she would say she’s busy and that this is her store. The atmosphere was much more friendly and the young black lady at the cashier was much more pleasant. Pulling up, we could see they were cleaning getting ready to close, but she greeted us with a smile and didn’t make us feel like burden for coming in while they were cleaning. She explained to us that the hispanic lady no longer worked there and that was truly a decision for the best because you could see the pep in their steps as they worked! I don’t know of that young lady is the new manager but I can tell she is already running that store better than the other one. Read moreI don't like giving a 1 star but after last night I really feel it's necessary. We dined there in 2021 and the food was delicious and the restaurant was very clean, hands down a 4+ star experience. July of 2022 not so much, the food was overcooked to the point of having very little flavor, the burger was beyond charred. The young girl on the grill has no idea how to prepare food. The fries seemed like they were pre cooked and heated up when we ordered. The dogs were overcooked and dry and the dining area had dirty tables. Considering we were the only customers and there was three employees I find that unacceptable. Normally I wouldn't waste my time writing this negative review, I just wouldn't go back, but I'm doing it in the hope that the owners will take corrective action and turn it around before people start realizing that they are paying a pretty hefty price for some sub par food.
