The rooms were great. Super clean and had everything we needed. The problem is the place hassles you constantly to do the timeshare tour and honestly, it is inappropriate. The first time they asked us about the "tour" at their resort up the street was at check in. We politely said no to the offer of gifts because honestly, our vacation time is more valuable than the money they offered. Then came the constant in room calls. We declined and then just stopped answering the phone. What took the cake was when we were at a nice dinner on the strip and we got a call on our cell after 8pm from the resort saying there was an urgent issue with our account. Genuinely concerned, we called back and the urgent issue was we didn't sign up for the tour. We lost our patience. They stopped calling but on the last day, we decided we might want to stay an extra night instead of checking out at 11am and sitting around at the airport until our midnight flight. They would not let us pay for an extra night when rooms were available. We could have booked online but we would need to move rooms. They said the only way they would accommodate us is if we took their tour. We reluctantly agreed. We went to the other resort and when we said we were not buying a timeshare, they became very rude. They actually told us to leave. We were walking out and they chased us out and said we had to come back in to check out. They say us down and proceeded to try to sell us points for another stay within 18 months! What the heck? They got annoyed and sent us to another desk to check out and when we got there, they acted like they didn't know how to check us out. When we got back to the resort that sent us, we were not in the room two minutes and the phone rang and they asked if we took the hour tour because we were back already. Were they monitoring our key swipe? We own a timeshare in Florida and traded for this place. Our home resort doesn't hassle you like this. We paid $800 to "swap" and could have booked for cheaper on Expedia had we looked. We were harassed like crazy to buy another timeshare. Not worth it if you want to relax and enjoy yourself. Again, the rooms were great. Kitchen, laundry, and two bedrooms. AC was not cold but again, accomodations were fine. Just be warned about the constant...

— Review — 😃/🙁 = 😃 The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the hotel was the unique layout that is different from the classic hotel. Instead of one big building, there were many smaller buildings and the lobby as a separate building in the middle. The palm trees and the sandy colour of the wall reminded me of the desert. There was a business room with a computer and a gameroom inside the lobby.

— Room — 🛏️ The room was really big, almost the same size as my own house! The room was clean, with a few minor issues. One of the issues is that there was a millipede and a beetle crawling around in one of the washrooms. There was also a bunch of moths at night, so make sure to close your door. After some research, I’ve learned that millipedes are attracted to rotten wood, so I’ve checked around the wooden furniture and noticed it was pretty old, and yes the washroom counter was rotting a bit at the bottom. I guess it really is a “desert experience”. 😭 other than that the room was nice.

— Customer Service — 🗣️ The customer service was really nice and even gave us some tourist guide brochures and a card on how to chrome cast on the hotel room tv. The hotel front desk even messaged us every day asking if we needed anything! Very nice. The housekeeper was also very hardworking too.

— Breakfast — 🍳🥞 (N/A)

— Pool and Excersice Room — 🏊‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ The pool was pretty big, there was an adult and kids pool, along with two jacuzzis. I suggest you visit the pool at around 3-5 pm, basically in the evening. —————— The exercise room was pretty good, with a water station you could use for either refilling your water bottle or just drinking it yourself. There were some tvs in front of the treadmills, which was nice.

🏨🏨 Would I stay here again/reccomend? —————— Yes, I would definitely stay here again and recommend! ——————

I do not like leaving poor reviews unless trying to inform others of what you are actually getting for your hard earned money. This was our very first trip to Las Vegas, so I’m not sure if this type of poor quality service is standard for the area. As speaking as a 10 year Diamond Resort member this was by far the dirtiest room we have stayed in. The carpets were sticky, if you walked in your room barefoot the bottoms of your feet were BLACK (disgusting). Two days after check in both my kids began having GI viral symptoms. We believe that they got sick because of their shared room and bathroom. We don’t believe high touched areas are disinfected between guests. I am partly responsible because I usually disinfect high touch areas (door knobs, tv remote controls, toilet handle, sink handles and all table tops) before letting my family unpack. I forgot my disinfectant wipes this time and it was a huge mistake. At a glance the sheets look clean but at closer inspection the sheets had holes and stains. I asked twice to have disinfectant wipes placed in the gym but they were being “ordered”. At check out my husband informed the front desk of the suspected problems (dirty room and not functioning shower knobs; you can’t control the water temperature of your shower) with the room and the front desk asked him if he wanted them to inform security? No we don’t want you to inform security we want you to make the next person experience in our room better than our own. We have been traveling throughout the pandemic without getting sick, unfortunately I let the ball drop thinking that these establishments know how to keep us safe. I know that at other Hotels that we have stayed leave behind blatant signs that show you they have disinfected high...

My wife and I enjoyed eight nights in room #218, Building 5, at the Desert Retreat. We were offered text message updates from the property upon check-in - I highly recommend doing this! We received periodic text messages asking if we needed anything, how we were enjoying the property - very customer-focused! Room #218 is a one-bedroom room, full kitchen, large bedroom with spacious walk-in closet, large living room with pullout hide-a-bed, separate room for washer and dryer (we did laundry twice - machines worked perfectly), and a nice balcony patio. The property has two swimming pools and hot tubs, one of each for 'families' and one of each only for adults (16 and older). We enjoyed the adult-only area hot tub multiple days, as well as the nicely-appointed fitness room. We didn't use any of the eight gas grills (five in adult area, three in family area) during the stay, but you can get all the grilling utensils you need from the check-in desk. We cooked most of our evening meals in the room - the range/oven, microwave, full refrigerator with ice-maker, and dishwasher were used frequently. This is a fully gated estate, with the gates locking at 1700 (use of room key grants evening/night access). Most of the parking is covered - another great attribute! There is a 7-Eleven gas station/convenience story at the end of the block with great deals on beverages and snacks; there is a Smith's (Kroger affiliate) close by where we did most of our grocery shopping. Having a quiet place to stay after a day of hiking and nightly shows (e.g. Jersey Boys, Michael Jackson ONE, Piano Man, Mystere, etc), a place close to but not on the strip, was very relaxing. We will definitely recommend this property to anyone we know visiting Vegas in the future!!

My friend stayed on the strip and myself and another stayed here at the hilton desert and here's what I noticed. Her pool: dj was way way too loud, no outside food or drink, $700 rental for cabana any shaded area was at some cost.5 mile walk from room to pool however the pool was much larger and lively. My pool: 30 second walk from the room bldg 18 room 169 , they encourage you to eat with several clean grills available for your use, cabanas are free and we had no issue there was always one open. Music was appropriate volume and if anything could've been bumped up a tad. We had a two bedroom with kitchen so weren't forced to eat out everyday but instead had cheaper healthier options delivered right to our door. We only walked the strip once so staying there wouldn't have saved us the Uber fees anyways but it is a 12 min ride to the strip. I'd say 20 to old vegas. The room was clean and everything functions as it should. I would suggest replacing the weather strip on the doors that have obvious gaps and you can see light coming in from outside the exterior door. The kitchen utensils are basic and could use mixing bowls and some additional essentials would make that better. We also had a private patio where the places on the strip don't or charge outrageous prices for those rooms. Interacted with three hotel staff while there and all three were quality employees you could tell. Overall this place was more convenient and enjoyable than had I stayed in a standard hotel on the strip. I'd go back. Also take it for what it's worth, an uber driver told us the area was pretty safe and is a nicer area.

We got the two bedroom suite with two bathroom and a living room with a pull out couch, and the kitchen it with everything and one washer and dryer and they had a patio. They give you a parking pass and a room key and it’s a gated resort so they close the gate at 5 PM and you have to use your key to get in and out and the staff is very friendly and if you’re a Hilton member, they give you some kind of food, discounts, and other discounts for the strip, we didn’t get to use it but some people like do use stuff like that. The only thing was the AC and heater temperature. The lowest you can get is 70 and it was pretty hot in the room. We did not sleep with a blanket so you cannot go lower than that. No resort fee which is great! But there’s a security deposit $250 but you get it back at the end of the check out and takes a few days too clear. I didn’t get to use the pool or hot tub. But we had the 2nd floor and no elevator just stairs! So if you have a walker or cane please get the bottom floor ! The stairs was a lot of work out for my brother in law that had a cane and my mother in law. we had enough towels so we didn’t need much but the only thing was our dryer broke so we called the front desk for maintenance and they switched it out in like 15 minutes which was awesome. so we don’t mind staying here again with the family because this was our family vacation and it was pretty good. Enjoyed our stay.
