The words inviting, appetizing, and standout do not even begin to describe the experiences we encountered upon our arrival to Agave & Rye. My husband and I traveled to New Albany for a long weekend. When choosing our Air B & B we ultimately decided the one right next door to a Mexican restaurant sounded perfect. We had no idea what we were in store for. After our first meal, a crispy chicken burrito for my husband and a taco flight for myself, and sharing the chips and salsa, our taste buds were immediately impacted by the flavors. Everything was fresh and complimented the items served with it perfectly. The chicken burrito is served with a side of the most delicious dipping sauce. We immediately canceled all of our plans to visit other restaurants for lunch or dinner throughout our stay. We both were in agreement we would rather continue to enjoy the food and atmosphere around us, then venture out. We visited Agave & Rye six times on our long weekend; whether it was for lunch, dinner, drinks and appetizers. They never let us down. At the end of our week, we brought home take out to share with family and to enjoy on the six hour car ride home. After returning home, we tried the Agave & Rye in Perrysburg, Ohio, a two hour drive one way. It was delicious. However, it is miserable to not have an Agave & Rye close by. You can tell they really care about their customers and what they are serving them. We hope that by spreading our experience with friends and family, that someday an Agave & Rye will come to Mid Michigan. Recommendations from us are Strawberry Margarita on the rocks, frozen Strawberry Margarita, Little Red Corvette, chips and salsa, fries with trashy sauce, the Filthy Fajita, The Gansta, the Crispy Chicken Burrito with trashy sauce, and for dessert the churro chips and strawberry cheesecake dip. Above and Beyond Staff Katie, GM Tim, Bartender Lena and...

Title: A Taco Paradise with Unforgettable Pork Delights!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Agave & Rye, and let me tell you, it was an absolute taco paradise! From start to finish, every aspect of my experience was exceptional, leaving me with a satisfied smile and a longing to return.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the remarkable tacos. Each bite was a tantalizing explosion of flavors that transported me to culinary heaven. Among the array of options, the pork tacos were the true stars of the show. The pork was beyond amazing—tender, succulent, and bursting with a richness that delighted my taste buds. It was evident that Agave & Rye takes great pride in sourcing top-quality ingredients and preparing them with utmost care.

What sets Agave & Rye apart is their dedication to culinary excellence. The combination of fresh ingredients, expert seasoning, and skilled preparation creates a symphony of flavors that is nothing short of remarkable. Every taco on their menu showcases creativity and innovation, making each visit a delightful exploration of taste.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Agave & Rye is vibrant and inviting. The staff is friendly, attentive, and passionate about ensuring an extraordinary dining experience. Whether you're a taco aficionado or a newcomer to Mexican cuisine, the team at Agave & Rye will make you feel welcomed and guide you through their menu with enthusiasm.

In conclusion, Agave & Rye is a culinary gem that deserves the highest praise. Their tacos are wonderful, and the pork is simply incredible. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Agave & Rye is the place to be. Make sure to bring your appetite and prepare for a taste adventure that will leave you craving more. I can't wait for my next visit to this...

My wife and I are celebrating our 13 year anniversary tomorrow, so we had a rare night out by ourselves. My wife has been several times, but this was my first time. I only took one picture as we don’t get many dinners to talk just the two of us, but 1 picture is worth thousand words. We started with the Chips and Queso and the Shrimp Rangoon Bites. Both were delicious and portioned perfectly for our liking. The Shrimp Rangoon Bites are a great infusion of seafood, meets you favorite Chinese Crab Rangoon, meets fried wontons. I can’t remember the drink my wife got, but it was very good and to quote her, “there’s more alcohol in there than I remember.” I think most people can agree that one of the more frustrating things about getting drinks anywhere that isn’t made at home is the discrepancy of alcohol you may or may not get while eating out. It was very well made. Then we got a flight which is 3 street tacos. From left to right… The Alderman, The Filthy Fajita (minus red peppers and added street corn), and The Rooster. The Alderman and Filthy Fajita are must tries and were top notch. The Rooster was really good, but I’ll give some constructive criticism/ideas to enhance the taco. It lacked on the Nashville Hot sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is a very subjective issue and I’m not saying I want it overly sauces, but I do want a little more. As a person who loves sauces, I would’ve loved for this to have a dill sour cream drizzle or a dill ranch drizzle or something along those lines. Preferences aside, all 3 tacos were very good. My only regret, not trying the Strawberry Cheesecake Dip dessert. There are so many things I want to try next time. If you haven’t been yet, definitely worth a try or 3.

An Overview: First time at Agave & Rye. The atmosphere is great, the artwork is amazing. Service was pretty good. Food portions were good and flavorful. Prices were appropriate. I will go back and try other items. Details: The weather was chilly so most people wanted to eat inside. There were several people outside in the covered area where there were heaters. The staff seemed attentive. I am looking forward to visiting when I can sit outside. The people at the front hostess stand were very friendly. The quoted wait time was accurate. You cannot order drinks from the bar, someone is "supposed" to come around to take drink orders from people that are waiting. I got the feeling from the server this was an inconvenience. We were seated at the bar. Initial service was ok but after that service was really good. The server/bartender had great food and drink suggestions. The queso was really good, loved the chips. I thought the Elote was wonderful. My girlfriend thought it was a little too spicy. The tacos were really good. They were full of flavor. The chicken on The Rooster could be some of the best chicken I've had. I would certainly get The Rooster again. I did make both of the tacos EPIC with quoso. The BamaJamma was just ok. I would not get it again. My girlfriend's tacos were good, she really enjoyed the Mahi Mahi. They do not have a very large beer selection. They are supposed to be more of a Bourbon & Tequila place. The margaritas were a work of art. The Little Red Corvette was really good. The have a nice list of bourbons but they were out of my first 3 choices. Overall, I will be back. I had heard mixed reviews and I am very happy I gave Agave & Rye the opportunity. I look forward to sitting outside and trying some of the other taco choices.
