Well, this WAS my favorite place for hummus and pita (and other stuff, of course) until today. I used to drive across the river just to get some!!! And then, today. My usual friend wasn’t there and one of the ladies greeted me. I said I thought I would try something different today. I asked for a falafel sandwich. On their menu it states that it has pickles and tahini on it. I know this already because I’ve had several… anyway, I asked to add lettuce and tomato today. She told me “no, it won’t fit.” Now, I’ve had a lot of falafel sandwiches in my day, many that come with lettuce and tomato already on them. Never an issue of it “fitting.” And even if there were a problem, can’t I deal with that myself?? I was willing to pay for it. She could have said anything but that. Can’t support BS no matter how good the hummus and pita are. 😕

In response to yours, I said , I would like a falafel sandwich and may I please add lettuce and tomato. She said, “No, it won’t fit.” I looked at her , smiled, said “ok” and left. If that is accommodating, I would like to see what isn’’t. You are a really nice person and your food is great. Jealous (or whatever) women spoil...

I originally gave this restaurant a 5 star review when my younger brother put me on to this place. However I never gave this restaurant the credit they deserved with a written review, so I came back to add that.

Yes this restaurant is still 5 stars. Yes the food is fantastic. The prices are very decent, and serving sizes match the prize very well. You will not have to worry about getting what you paid for.

The staff are friendly, and the food is made to order. I don't mind waiting. The menu read something about the fact that the food isn't fast, it's fresh (or something like that, I don't recall exactly, but you get the gist). The food is made after ordered. It's great. I've had the halloumi, chicken curry, and a few other dishes here. They always knock it out of the park.

I wanted to make sure I came back and updated my review to include the fact that yes parking may not be great, and yes the food may take a few minutes to come out.... but it's WORTH IT. If you want fast food, go to McDonald's. But if you want GOOD...

Had a wonderful meal here, with attentive service, very tasty food and a casual atmosphere. We started with appetizers of hummus and warm green olives. The hummus was spot on, smooth, with the right touch of garlic, dressed with olive oil, thick enough to spread generously on the warm pita. The olives, a very generous portion, were peppery and lightly dressed with a lemony olive oil. I chose a chicken schwarma sandwich for my entree--well spiced chicken, dressed with a garlicky dressing, pickles and tomatoes, wrapped in lavash and grilled. Tasty and a perfect portion. Hubby chose the beef kabob dinner, a generous platter with Greek salad, rice and mixed grilled veggies. 3 generous skewers of delightfully spiced beef that he could not finish. We ordered baklava to go, but snuck a bite before leaving--wonderful! We left full, carrying out enough food for a another meal, satisfied and happy. I...

Quaint little spot in downtown New Albany near the river. Nice parking lot. The spot is in the cluster of Underground Shops. Ordered the grilled Lamb Chops, came with rice and mixed grilled veggies. Added a small side of tzaziki and sweet iced tea. Everything is served in to go vessels, you can dine-in or sit on the patio courtyard. No alcohol, coke products. Very clean and nice atmosphere, I was treated to watching X Men (closed captioned) while dining. Tasty food, freshly prepared, seasoned quite nicely. Ask for sumac and zatar, they'll spice.it up for you. Friendly service. Order at counter, have a seat, they'll call you to get your order when done. Efficient. Extensive menu. Lots to try. I'll be back.

This restaurant is definitely designed more for takeout than dine-in. The atmosphere was quiet with little distraction. There is a nice outdoor dining area if the weather is nice. Parking is rough because it’s not actually connected to the restaurant. I was not charged for parking but I am not completely sure I was in a free lot. The food that we had here was ok. Nothing to right home about in my opinion. Looking at the menu there are probably other things that would have been tasty but the stuff we had was underwhelming. It’s worth a shot if you need a place to eat just off the river.

Aladdin’s was recommended by many of the locals as we walked around the shops in town. It did not disappoint! Let me start by saying that the hummus and naan bread was amazing. Such good, warm, fresh bread! I could almost just eat that as a meal. I enjoyed the gyro meal with a salad and my wife had the chicken shawarma with rice. We didn’t have room left for desert but it looked delicious. If you are looking for great Mediterranean food, this is your place. Sorry that I didn’t get more photos of the food. I was too busy eating it. :)
