My friend and I met for lunch today at this New Albany DKD. I had only been to the store in Louisville, so this was my first time visiting the New Albany store! Everything about it was an amazing experience. As soon as you walk in the place is full of beautiful plants. Something I personally loved, being a plant lover! It made for a beautiful atmosphere. We sat at the bar where Zach took great care of us. Pictured here is the “3:10 to Yuma” cocktail. Probably the best bourbon cocktail I’ve ever had! The food was too good to remember to stop and take photos! I ordered the wontons, small salad and “ballin out of crunch” roll. Everything was delicious and came out in great timing. Very fast service. Zach was very attentive, kept our drinks full and really made it a great experience for us! The food and drinks were affordable and great quality! I highly recommend this place. Perfect place for a date night or to bring the family! I’ve never had a bad experience in either locations. Can’t wait to return!

We come here all the time! It’s our favorite sushi spot. The staff are incredible. The sushi is by far the best around- and this new albany location is 10x better than the Louisville location with a different menu and way different vibe inside. I recommend the Robert Deniroll, I think it’s the best on the menu. We also love the elotes (Mexican street corn) from the Robata grill. The only thing we don’t love about this place is it’s impossible to get through on the phone (it always just rings and no one answers) and making a reservation is difficult. They were doing Facebook reservations for a while and now they might be doing some other online system we are going to try next time. But it’s always crowded on the weekend, so get there early or try to make a reservation. It’s totally worth it!

I wanted to share some feedback about my recent experience on 7/27 around 5:30pm. Unfortunately, the food quality was not up to the usual standard we’ve come to love at this restaurant. Some dishes seemed overcooked, and even the sushi had ingredients that were dried out or didn’t meet the usual quality of DKD. I felt bad for our server, it seemed like he was unhappy or struggling, which may have resulted in incorrect orders and late timing of our drinks. We also noticed we were charged full price for items that should have been part of happy hour, which was disappointing. I hope this feedback is helpful, and that any issues can be addressed. We really enjoy this place and look forward to a better experience next time!

Tonight I got to spend some quality time with two of my grandhildren. When asked where they wanted to go they both immediately said Dragon King's Daughter! They wanted sushi. Uh? When did they grow up so much and want sushi?? Not being a sushi person but being a great Grannie I agreed. We had less than a 5 minute wait and were seated outside on a lovely Fall evening.

The waiter was kind enough to check on what type gloves they use to prepare the food. I have a Latex allergy and he even brought the box out for me to see so I could order without any question.

The menu is available by scanning the card left on your table. My phone doesn't have that capability but my waiter made sure I was on their website before going to get our drink order. Unusual way to order but in these Covid days it seemed smart and certainly cuts down on the cost of menus. Smart and eco friendly.

We had appetizers. Both teenagers had Veggie Spring Rolls. Seemed ok ...but the paper basket liner soon became soaked with soy sauce and the rolls were quickly soggy. Neither finished theirs.

I had the Wontons.... SERIOUSLY GOOD! Like I could go back right now and get another order -- good!

One ordered the California Roll, one had the Spicy Crab Roll -- both were declared delicious!

I had the Fried Rice with Chicken. EXCELLENT. And had enough to bring home for a second meal.

We did not have to ask for refills. As soon as we realized we needed them they were there. Excellent service!

Will definitely go again and use this as a great gift...

We have dined here with family on two occasions, the first time was back during the first week of April 2016 and then again this past weekend in November to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday.

One both occasions we had a very large group of family for special events and the restaurant and staff did an excellent job in seating us together as a group with no wait time. The service here has been excellent on both occasions from the hosts to the wait staff. They have also gone above and beyond in ensuring they exceed any expectation on dietary restrictions in their menu preparation.

This is located in downtown New Albany near the post office and with street parking on most the nearby streets. The business stays steady but we have not had to wait on a table nor required a reservation despite having a large group of over 16 people on each visit.

The food quality is good, it is an Asian Mexican Fusion style which can be a little different at times but they deliver fast service, fresh ingredients and good value and portion size. I have ordered the Sashimi on both visits and found it to be good and fresh but somewhat overpriced in comparison to other Sushi restaurants in the New Albany or Clarksville area we have visited given the portion size.

The restaurant is clean and they have a very good menu with plenty of selections to fit most any taste and combined with the service delivery and ambience Dragon Kings Daughter is a place we would visit again...

My wife & I went to the New Albany location for an anniversary dinner, our first time at DKD. What an incredible dining experience we had and so happy we found this place as we are both sushi lovers. The host offered the choice of dining in the restaurant or in the 21 and up bar/restaurant section which we chose and glad we did as he sat us at a very private booth. Our server was Evan and he was outgoing, friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us at just the right times. Ask for him if you go! We each ordered a craft cocktail, my wife got the Chularita (she loved it) and I got the Ginger old fashioned (excellent choice bourbon lovers). For an appetizer we ordered the pork gyoza and it arrived steaming hot and was delicious with a chili oil dipping sauce yum. I mentioned we both love sushi and we were not disappointed not only with the vast selection of rolls but how large each roll was. We considered ordering 2 rolls each but reconsidered after the gyoza so I got the Citrus Heat and it was outstanding!!! So delicious and 1 roll was more than enough. My wife got the Kraken Attacks and she absolutely loved it. We also ordered the Mexican fried rice as a side dish and that was also very good. Do yourself a favor and check out Dragon King's Daughter. You will not be...
