I want to love this place and have heard the food is amazing. Unfortunately when we went last week we had a really tough experience. We arrived at 12, when the restaurant is scheduled to open, but were told the ovens would need another 20-30 minutes to warm up before our food could be made. Fine. We turned on the lights in the attached dining room (lights were off when we arrived) and sat down to wait for our food. A friend dropped by to meet us and had what he declared the best falafel of his life. I was drooling. Then the bad news... we had ordered dosa with a potato filling. Now that the stove was warmed up (over 30 minutes later) the (only) person working there told us they were out of the filling. I asked if there was another filling that he could substitute, but he recommended trying the dosa plain with just the ghee flavor. I agreed but when the dosa arrived I realized it was a big mistake not to ask for another filling. Without the filling to balance it out the spice level of the dosa was too overpowering. (I am familiar with Indian cuisine and have no aversion to spice; my sister in law who has spent time in India felt similarly.) After an hour I had to leave, still with half our party (including my 4 year old son) not served any food yet. Based on reading the other reviews it seems like this was a fluke but I'm so disappointed. We brought friends and family and had such a lackluster experience. I love seeing new restaurants in town and really looked forward to having the great experience that everyone else seems to be having here, but that's just not...
Read moreBeen to plenty of restaurants, but this spot hits different. I tried the chicken shawarma, dahi puri, and biryani and every bite told the same story: attention, care, and serious flavor.
What stood out even more? The way the owner personally made sure everything came out right. You don’t see that kind of hands-on passion often. They’re just six months in, but already running with the heart of a seasoned team. The space is well-sized and thoughtfully laid out, plenty of room to enjoy your meal without feeling boxed in.
Restaurant life isn’t easy, takes hustle, patience, and daily consistency. And I saw all three here. Wishing them the momentum to grow fast and go far. If they keep this spirit, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more branches popping up soon.
Definitely a place worth...
Read moreThe food available right now is such a unique take on this flavor pallet. The Paneer Mahkani Pizza was incredible. I'm not usually one for thin crust pizza, but I can honestly say I've never had a pizza like this and I can't wait to get another. The Desi Chicken Burger was another unexpected delight. Reader beware, this is a breaded chicken burger patty, not a classic chicken burger, but that didn't stop it from being absolutely fantastic. The complex blend of flavors and the intensity of the heat from the seasoning make this easily one of the best chicken sandwiches in the area. The punjabi samosa and papdi chat were both fantastic , easily rivaling the other spectacular restaurant both here and in Providence.
Can't wait to see...
