Tried for the first time a few days ago. My wife and I tried the Muskie Club, Baby Moose, Potato Salad and the Pasta Salad. I only have one word for the food---fantastic, fresh, and delicious! (I guess I lied, but who cares.) I'll start with the bread. If there is a seeded option, that is always my first choice and I can't explain how good it is. It reminds me of the 70's Subpurpia bread...it's that good! The meats (quite plentiful) definitely have the old school taste unlike the cheapest crap you can slap on a sandwich from the other sandwich shops...(you all know who they are)! The sandwich toppings are fresh and plentiful also that add the right amount of crunch and flavor to the sandwich. The Big Bear Sauce is the cherry on the sundae! Same as the old school Subpurpia and Gold Coast subs 'secret' sauce, the Big Bear Sauce makes the sandwich explode with flavor! They also use high quality, good tasting cheeses and mayonnaise, which to me makes or breaks a sandwich. What can I say? I thought the sandwiches were outstanding and can't wait to try others. My daughter is a pasta salad snob. That being said, I only was able to smell it, but not sample it before it was gone....enough said.(Sigh.) Maybe next time. POTATO SALAD. What can you say about the lowly potato salad side dish? One hell of a lot, I say!! The potato salad was at the top of my list as far as potato salads are concerned. The freshness, potato cut size and doneness along with the sauce reminded me of only one other salad I have ever eaten... My grandmothers potato salad (God rest her soul). Eating this potato salad brought me back soo many years ago, and I absolutely love it!!!! I could care less if it is some food service product or it is made in house, I would come back daily for it if I could. What a blast from the past for me! The store is very clean, beautiful inside and very inviting. The clerk was not as friendly or enthusiastic as I would have liked for a new establishment, but that will not distract me from returning. My takeaway is this, I am done with the low quality, profit driven garbage sandwich chains....this is my new and only go to for a great sandwich, period. I wish the best of luck and a long and prosperous outlook for this restaurant. I will spend my money here any day of the week! Except Sunday and Monday, of course. Just a side note for all you naysayers, bashers and internet star food collectors...this is the real deal. This is NOT a fake or paid review. I do NOT know the owners, although I will meet and talk to them when I get the chance. And based on my experience (although only one so far), I can attest that if the freshness and quality of what I received is an indication of how this business is run and the quality of the product, I disregard any bad reviews that I have read to date. Keep up the great work, don't cave to the profit over quality and I think you will do just fine. Finally, thanks for a breath of fresh air when it comes to choosing a "fast" food establishment. I couldn't be happier and more excited to try more of your...

Stopped in just before 5:30pm on a Saturday with what seemed like 2 or 3 parties ahead of us waiting for orders. The setup is odd. Very small lobby with the "kitchen" hidden behind folding dividers. No tables for dine-in except a couple bistro sets outside. The fish tank is a nice touch for those who are fortunate enough to wait for their orders on that side of the waiting area. Our cold subs (no heating needed) came out over 15 minutes after placing the order. Seemed a bit prolonged compared to other sandwich shops, even with the 2 or 3 orders ahead of us. No one left with any huge amounts of food either. We weren't upset but just know if youre stopping in for a quick grab & go sub, it may be a bit longer than some other sub shops. Theres mysterious, yet delicious, sandwich assembly going on behind those wooden barricades, I promise. The sandwiches were delicious. The meat THINLY shaved. The seeded Italian bread had the right amount of chew to make it stand out from the more commercial chains. Overall, we were pleased, just allow for a sufficient window of time for your order to be made by secret sandwich wizards. I'd also recommend they build an official website with a menu available. I struggled to research my options...

I saw this place on tik tok and it looked absolutely delicious. It's about 5 minutes from my work so it's a great grab on the way home. Let me just start by saying I looked at all the negative reviews and had to laugh, don't trust some of these stuckup people that would get mad if the bag doesn't close tight. This place is absolutely top tier, I'm a sucker for a fat deli sandwich and this place hits the spot. I went today and I'm for sure going back tomorrow. The bread was absolutely delicious, the meat was stacked high, veggies were really fresh. They are more than happy to accommodate your requests and help make the sandwich you want. I feel the price was fair for the sandwich you get. If you think this is expensive you probably haven't been to a real sandwich shop. The place is small, few benches inside, few...

Heard about The Big Bear from Dang That's Good and I had to try it out. I ordered the Squirrel but took off the Horseradish and added the Garlic Aioli. It was soooo good. My wife got the Beaver exactly how they make it. Both were extremely delicious! They were backed up a bit and the nice lady that was running the register came by to apologize a couple times. We understood, great things take time, but they did get a rush. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area. One thing I wish was a bit more seating. Only had two tables inside. This is a must try, won't disappoint whatsoever!
