Well I first went to the Take 5 on 142nd and Capitol in Brookfield. There I encountered three African American gentlemen working and only one bay was open for oil changes. I was in line behind one other vehicle that was next up to drive into the center Bay. While I was sitting there one of the gentlemen came out and asked if I wanted an oil change and I said I did but I had misplaced the coupon I just clipped out that I received in the mail and would they honor the $24 price instead of the $42 price. He said we have coupons inside and it would be no problem. Well once I got inside that changed and all they could do is take $8 off the $42 regular price. So I left. I drove to 152nd and national in New Berlin and when I arrive there I noticed there were two Caucasian gentlemen and one AA gentleman working and all three bays we're open. Rick, Keith and Jonnie we're extremely friendly, courteous and cordial. They even offered me a bottle of water. I explained to Rick my issue with my lost coupon any ge told me not to worry he would make good with my problem. Well Rick did not disappoint and I drove out of there with an oil change that matched the high mileage Castrol oil that I normally use and a $20 discount off the regular price for that oil change. Jonnie was the tech who did my oil change and he was very professional in his detailing of what he was doing as he showed me my air filter and all his explanations! I hope corporate takes into consideration the two very different experiences that I endured and move fast to save the first Take 5 store in Brookfield and make it as pleasant as the one in New Berlin!!
Thanks Take 5 for giving me the opportunity to share my first experience with your...
Read moreI went here for an oil change on, yes, April 1st. The joke was on me... for sure! I usually change my own, but I don't have access to my garage or tools temporarily. I pulled into the shiny bay with no waiting. How convenient! Will, the technician, launched into his schpiel about the different options. Since I change my oil frequently, I asked for the economy oil change for $49. "You don't want that. The company puts recycled oil back in customer's cars for that one", he told me. Since the other technician had already started to drain my oil, I was caught over a barrel. I reluctantly chose the next option for $20 more. While I waited, the technician offered to sell me other products- wiper blades, an air filter, etc. all at high prices. This place is nothing but a clip joint. If I had access to my tools and garage, I would have done it myself as usual. Well played, Take 5... In response to the owner's comment below, I called their customer service team at the number listed. It's nothing but a voice mailbox; no CSRs were available at 10:20AM on a Wednesday morning.    Read moreComplete lack of customer service. Store (#568) I made and appointment for Sunday morning at 9 am when they open. Whom ever was supposed to open did not have keys. I came back 20 min later and they were then open. They changed my oil. None of the staff were in uniform. Today when I arrived at work my husband stated that I had an oil leak. Not wanting to drive to without knowing how much oil had leaked, I dove to the nearest store (#578) Wauwatosa. They refused to do anything except check my oil level. I had to then drive back to New Berlin. The manager refused to come out and speak with me. The fixed the gasket. I asked for a refund. They offered a free oil change on my next visit. I will never use this company again. I asked for a refund. They will mail a check in 2-3 weeks. For anyone that wants to know, the number on the website, even though it starts with 262 is a call center and you will never get to speak with a human nor will they...
