I went to the Rockys in New Berlin. I ordered a par baked pizza. The workers screwed it up and cooked all the way instead of par baking it. I needed to take it home 30 minutes so I did not want a fully cooked pizza. The front counter worker shuffled over and said Ill get the manager. The manager shuffled out about 4 to 5 miunters later. The manager offered to make a new one and walked away not saying anything else. The manager was not present the rest of the 25 minutes that I was there. No apology, no have a soda on us while you wait... NOTHING. While I waited I watched an employee in the back wearing a pink sweatshirt pick at his nose multiple times. He saw me watch him and never went and washed his hands. I then saw him then go over to a corner in the store and looked like he may have been using a store phone?? (pretty sure that is filled with germs) and again never wash his hands. Another employee stood lifelessly and put one spaghetti noodle at a time in a plastic bag for some reason. The third employee who was at the front counter needed some customer service skills. She never greeted myself or the gentleman who came in after me. While I stood around waiting for my pizza with no estimation on how long I watched the cashier proceed to take a swat on a cooler that was randomly sitting on the floor and play on her phone. I am pretty sure that there was something to wipe down in that restaurant - like maybe the phone??? I will never go back as you could see that this is just the atmosphere of the restaurant. Get it together ROCKYs - your manager should have been all over this. If the girl on the phone needed some direction than you should have been there giving it to her. Based on how the employees were acting tells me that you were probably off doing nothing as well.
Oh i gave the food 3 stars because my husband liked...
Read moreI love Rocky Rococo pizza- but not sure I'll be back I went to the New Berlin location about 5:45 this evening to order slices. I was told by the man at the counter(who looked like a crew chief) that it would be 6-7 minutes for the super slice I was wanting. No problem. The person who ordered in front of me was told the same, so we both sat down and waited. People came in sfter us, orderng the same item . Now were all waitung, which again is understandable. All is fine until the people who came in after both of us received their order- which was a large order of this item. The grub hub employee, who was the person in front of me, got up and commented to the man who had taken our orders as to why were they served first and she we still waiting. This women within a few minutes got her order and I'm still waiting. As I'm waiting and watching my watch, trying to muster patience over my frustration. After fifteen minutes I ask this same man behind the counter - how much longer would it be and was told it would "literally be 2 minutes..." I responded that it had already been 15 minute!s No apologies or ANYTHING from this guy. I sat back down fuming! 5 minutes later a girl part timer walks out and tells me very impersoally " sorry for the wait" turns and walks away. Now I would have ordered a different item if this was going to get my order three times as long as what I was told. If an error had been made, someone could have talked to me, explained an error or apologise after the first time I asked about my order. Rude, terrible customer service and just inexcusable in this day and age where there are multiple choices for people to go to for carry out - clearly not where I'll...
Read moreI took my grandkids to this location because they like pizza and I have been going from time to time since working there when I was in high school and college in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
My 3 and-a-half year-old granddaughter was served milk that expired in March!!! It's July. About 5 minutes after she finishing eating, she started to vomit. She was so sad and miserable.
The manager could only say "that's what they shipped me." I told him it's his job to check things. He walked away pathetic. There's no way he just got milk dated in March.
To boot, the slices they had were old and they were out of others. The QC and bake process, handled by the manager this day, is terrible at this store. I have no doubt there are health violations at this location.
I understand good help is hard to find, but the manager is a disinterested pud who should not be managing a restaurant. His staff reflected him as only one of the three kids working had any clue what was going on, how to do anything or any motivation to try.
I've taken the grandkids to 3 Rocky's locations now, including airport and Bluemound stores. The managers and help are mediocre to bad from store to store. I think this will be the last time we go, the stores are run down, there is no pride of work and the food quality is terrible now. We'll be going to Ian's exclusively now.
Rocky's has fallen so far, ownership has no idea what it's doing anymore, the new gen beancounter is just milking it for the cash at this point....
