Nasty nasty place. We got there early when they opened. Was not very many people there on a Saturday but we think we understand why. Only nice thing I can say is that we had a polite waitress but it was downhill from there. Place was not clean and has some nasty smells. Where we were seated we saw simething stuck on the wall that no one thought to clean off. Really gross. We now understand why one reviewer said he saw roaches...it is a very nasty place. The food on the buffet was cold and most of the fried food was greasy and cold. Again we got there when they opened so why was food cold. We paid before being seated so they got their money. I got green beans, egg drop soup, white rice spring rolls, thin pasta and tried a donut. Most the green beans were crunchy and sweet...not too bad. I got the spring rolls to try out but they were cold and greasy. Also, I tried a donut with sugar and if you sqeezed it grease just seeped out. I took one bite of the donut and that was it. The pasta dish I tried out just so happened was super salty this particular day. I think it might have been an accident in the kitchen but we told the waitress and nothing was done. It remained on the buffet. It was sooo salty I had to spit it out. My husband and I did not care though because we will never be back ever again. Not worth it. We will be looking for other oriental places to eat at from now on. It is evident that whoever owns and/or runs this restaurant has no desire to have customers return. Does not take much to clean so that customers feel welcome and how hard is it to have hot food on the buffet or replace super salty pasta dish when a customer mentions there...
Read moreTypical Asian buffet nothing to write home about. Service was ok MAJOR FOOD SAFETY VIOLATIONS Food that was supposed to be hot was cold and some hot food was like it just came out of the refrigerator.
Food that was supposed to be cold was warm specifically the sushi rolls.
Food did not taste fresh. Very disappointed.
When trying to explain our concerns the wait staff became very defensive claiming it was safe. Not once did I see anyone taking the temperature of the food. They also continued to bring stuff from the kitchen and place it on the old stuff.
According to both the USDA & North Carolina State Law, Temperatures at a minimum for hot should be at minimum 140 °F or warmer. Just by feel alone this was not the case Cold foods should be held at 40 °F or colder. Again this was not the case. The sushi rolls were warm to the touch and with raw foods which present hazards to begin with this is critical.
Food Quality gets an F- Atmosphere and cleanliness gets a C+ Customer service gets a D+ because the we're trying to defend something that was wrong.
At least they refunded our meal cost.
We won't...
Read moreNot from New Burn and first and last time we eat here. Don't waste your time and money here! Pay before anything else. Never been to a place that you had to pay first. I know why they do that now... they would have a lot of people look at the food and turn around and walk out!! The food was hard, dry and luke warm. it had to have been sitting out for a while. Nothing was replaced or refilled in the 30mins we were there. The only thing that wasn't dry or hard was the mushrooms and the sesame chicken and it had set in the juice so long it was soggy. Two women employees watched you try and find something in the middle that wasn't hard or dry, after you walk away they go push it back together to hide the dryness. The server was the best part, she did keep our tea filled, which was good. The hibachi buffet in Fayetteville North Carolina is so much better, food pans stay full and switched out it's just got a lot of business and good food. A whole lot different...
