Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Visited on 7/19/2019 for dinner. Food was good but service was horrible. My first plate I had BBQ ribs on it, but I wanted more BBQ sauce (there was none in the pan I got the ribs from). So I asked my server (Dom) if there was any BBQ sauce anywhere, she told me about the steak sauce sitting to my right on the table. I told her I know the steak sauce is there and I did not want steak sauce, I wanted more BBQ on my BBQ ribs. Again, she said if I wanted sauce, I can use the steak sauce. Really? You want me to use steak sauce instead of BBQ sauce? Well, on my second trip up to the food buffet, I found the BBQ sauce and showed Dom where it is located so she knows for the next time someone asks her the question. How is it she did not know that BBQ sauce was on he buffet? The BBQ sauce is in squirt bottles in another area away from the BBQ ribs. This is why I did not see them on my first trip, but it would have been nice that my sever had the knowledge to let me know the location so I could have gotten some for my first plate. Also, the survey I was asked to complete on the receipt and enter for a chance to win free money is a scam. I went to the web-page, put in my survey code and was sent to a page that said "We are no longer accepting surveys...

OK so I always wait until I visit a place a few times to give an accurate review. I don't think 1 time is enough to speak to how a place was in my opinion because you can have a great experience or a horrible one. Either way I absolutely love this location! First off, the service of the waitresses and waiters is off the charts amazing! They are absolutely kind and make sure you have what you need at all times! Second, the food. When people think of a buffet place you typically think the food is just mass produced with no love. In this case every single thing is made with love! It is absolutely delicious. I have tried just about every single item here with the many times I've visited with my family and every single time it's AMAZING! The fresh sliced meat is to die for and everything else is delicious as well!! The pot roast is incredible along with the fried chicken and Asian selection! This is a must visit location!! Buffets are super hit and miss, especially with bug families. I've never been to Golden Corral before. The majority of my family seemed as if they really enjoyed their time and the food. What I think upset me is my dad paid for all of us, and they only gave his veteran discount to him, and not even my mom or the rest of the family. I didn't like that you got your drinks immediately upon arrival, and if you don't get a drink, you're SOL; and the waitress doesn't come around a lot for refills.

My son is a toddler, nonverbal, and Autistic. I don't think the tables are high enough to get the high chair underneath, so I had to get on the floor to clean up his mess (I don't like when people leave messes their kids make). My son basically survives on spaghetti, and the spaghetti here was mediocre at best. Also, why do they leave the noodles in water? That was weird to me. My little man didn't want the noodles at all. He did like the pizza, though. I don't live in this state, so I don't know if I'll be back, but I didn't think the price was too expensive for as many...
