UPDATE- this used to be my favorite spot in New Braunfels. Recently I went in and was told they no longer serve black coffee- not iced, not hot, nothing. Apparently their coffee maker broke but they are not planning to fix it?! Iâm sorry, but I cannot understand how a coffee shop doesnât serve regular coffee. I will sadly not be frequenting this establishment anymore.
FAVE coffee spot in New Braunfels. My husband and I are coffee snobs and we went on the lookout for some great brew. This place ticked all our boxes. Truthfully, our favorite drink is BLACK iced coffee. Yes, I said black. The quality is wonderful and weâve continued to go back. Second favorite drink is an oat milk latte, highly recommend. The staff are always incredibly friendly. Weâve also gotten in the habit of taking our dog with us for the highly anticipated âpup cupâ which is a little cup of whip cream with a dog treat! Be sure to grab a punch card for your free drink. Tuesdayâs they offer âTwo Punch Tuesdayâ you get 2 for 1 punches so we always stop by. Such...
Read moreIâve been to Jolt plenty of times, but it was a first at this specific location. 10/10 would recommend. The server at the window (seriously wish I remembered her name) was phenomenal. She was friendly, funny, super personable. She also made a great recommendation. My sister used to work at Starbucks, so she always made or ordered my drinks just based on what she knew I liked, but I wanted to try something a little different. The girl at the window listened to what I liked, and what I didnât like, or couldnât have due to being allergic, and recommended a coffee. Now Iâm so skeptical about trying new things - picky person - but she really sold me on it⌠and it was absolutely amazing. Iâm just going to let them start making recommendations to me and going with it, if thatâs the outcome every time. The service was great, the recommendations were great. This location will be my new go to spot, even if it is a little more out of the way than...
Read moreI recently visited Jolt and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. The coffee tasted no better than a cup of Folgers, lacking the richness and depth you'd expect from a specialty shop. On top of that, they charged an extra $0.75 just to reduce the amount of ice in my drink, which felt unreasonable.
I also ordered three smoothies, hoping for a refreshing treat, but what I received was disappointing. The smoothies were nothing more than syrups mixed with ice and waterâno real fruit, no creaminess, just a watery, artificial-tasting mess.
Despite all this, I still left a tip, hoping it might make a difference. But in the end, I left feeling ripped off and unsatisfied. I wonât be returning to this place...
