On numerous visits to this location in New Britain, they run out of items displayed on menu. Several months back I ordered a meal that included fries, unfortunately they didn't have any fries. The manager on duty gave me a joke about not having fries and running out of other items in the past. I walked out and was very disappointed because not only do I love their chicken but the fries are great as well. Forward to tonight, I decided to try again since its been a while that I've eaten at this location. I drive up to location and immediately see the item in which I came to purchase displayed on the outside window..... Ghost Pepper Wings $4.99. As I enter I notice the same manager from my not so well last experience sitting in the front in the dining area talking on a cell phone. I proceed to order with the young lady behind the counter. I asked, how many ghost pepper wings come in the order? She said, we don't sell those anymore. I said, well they are still advertised outside on the window. She says, I'm sorry but we don't sell them anymore. So I then turn to the manager and ask him, how come every time I come to this location they don't have certain items. He responds, we don't carry this item anymore. I then respond, well if you don't carry it anymore you shouldn't advertise it. He rudely turns around and continues talking on the phone. I then say but aren't u the manager and your gonna blow me off like that. He runs to the back of the store and comes back with 2 others managers. As they are walking towards me the female manager says call the cops. I respond with you're threatening to call the cops on me because you don't have an item that you're advertising. After some back and forth the younger manager became very helpful and asked to rectify the situation. At this point I was extremely disappointed and upset with their immediate response that I just turned around and walked out. As I walked out the female manager ran up to the window and pulled down the ghost pepper display. This lack of item selection and then lack of customer service is extremely disappointing from a top notch food chain such as Popeyes. As a manager, I know that this type of service is unacceptable. I really hope that these issues are addressed immediately or other customers will not be...
Read moreThis place is horrible, I made an order for 60$ worth of food via grub hub, when my food arrived half of my order was missing. I called the store and the phone was picked up and then hung up before I could say a word. I called back and no one answered, guess what voicemail box is full. I drove to the restaurant at 9:30pm after a long hard day of work. I could clearly see through the door one of the employees enjoying his meal, one behind the counter pretending to clean if that’s what you call cleaning. I was told I needed to go to the drive through, okay they are going to fix the problem….. WRONG !!!!.. the guy told me he had no fries, no gallon of juice and he can only give me a bigger cup. Excuse me sir I didn’t pay five dollars for a cup of juice are you kidding me. He began offering me chicken sandwiches and told me I’m going to cause him to lose his job because of how much time I’m spending at the drive through. For one I don’t care about a job you don’t really care about because if you did care young man your customer service wouldn’t be so poor. Customers are always right especially when I’m showing you the food and the receipt. Young man you have lots to learn. Don’t order here it’s a shame that this is the type of service you receive after you just ordered food with your hard earned money to keep a food chain in business.....
Read moreI like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and gravy. That would be my do to meal when it comes to going out to s fried chicken joint. That being said, my favorite thing to get at Popeyes is the spicy chicken sandwich. This time, I really wanted to get traditional southern fried chicken, so I got the four piece combo. The Large included 2 sides and a fountain drink. I got a huge lemonade. My food was okay, but a little bit on the bland side. It was a little disappointing for me. I was expecting better. There is a drive through so you can avoid going inside if you wish. I found the young lady working the drive thru to be friendly and she seemed to be running the whole show. Myself, I sometimes prefer to go inside. It is a little more revealing as to the way things really are in regard to the staff and overall condition of the facilities. The drive thru is set up differently from back in the day when a Taco Bell was at this location. Now, when you turn into the drive, you need to cut to the right immediately if you want to go through the drive thru. It looks better than it was, but I ended up...
