I stepped out of the car, greeted by a symphony of rain hitting pavement and the squeezing windshield wipers from anxious drivers.
Hands in my pockets, I walked to Buns n’ Shakes. I shivered as I pushed open the entrance, a bell clanged overhead as I walked to the counter.
“Pick up for Noah, it’s a Devour Burger,” I managed,
The cashier stepped onto the folk lift and expertly picked up my “burger”, nearly tipping it forwards.
beep beep beep
She reversed to me and dropped quite possibly the heaviest food specimen I have ever had the misfortune of ordering in my hands
My arms caved instantly and were pinned to the ground, shattering both wrists.
“Argggg” I winced, bone splintered into pieces “Now I know what a tv dinner feels like”,
No one laughed.
I dragged my broken body out of the door, a complicated system of ropes and pulleys inching this absolute beast out of the door.
As I enlisted 20 people to load my burger in the car, almost certainly destroying my suspension, I couldn’t help but think:
“Was this all worth it”
I had more time to ponder this thought as I drove home with my hazard lights flashing.
I needn’t fear. Though I broke the elevator getting to my floor, it was worth it when I unhinged my jaw and sank my teeth into this behemoth for the first time.
Though I have left overs I’ll be able to pass down for generations, this experience has allowed me to grow. Much like my cholesterol levels.

Read moreLiterally my go-to for when I’m in the mood for delicious greasy American food (and to be fair, not all that greasy!). I’ve had the Nutella shake the first time and have yet to try any other flavor because of how divine it is. If you’re looking for the best Nutella-flavored shake in NB, this is THE SPOT. Fries are nice and crispy, and even when ordered via delivery, they maintained a good amount of crisp save for the bits sauced up (extra yummy). From the menu, I’ve had the Nashville tenders, the Nashville sandwich, and the cheeseburger. For the Nashville chicken items, the seasoning is thorough and satisfying to the tongue. You might get a little messy digging in though, because whew it’s so good. It’s just one teeny tiny (1cm) step below Smashville’s Nashville items. The cheeseburger? Literally melts on my tongue. S-Tier cheeseburger. No burger I’ve had ever tasted good. 🤤 Overall, great spot to casually dine in or take to-go for a comfy meal in. I generally save my reviews even after trying a place out several times, but this is my go-to for buns and shakes (pun intended) and I really hope it’s here to stay because I’m not kidding when I say it’s the most Nutella flavored shake you’ll find around the area. Definitely worth...
Read moreManagement and customer treatment is deplorable. This was definitely not worth driving 50 minutes out of my way, both ways for the food. Even If you accidentally ask for the smash Mac & cheese BURGER You will get the wrong item, they’ll give you the mac & cheese bowl, and they refused to do anything about it, except make you pay for What you wanted in the first place. The girl at the counter said she was the manager, if this was true, I’m appalled by the customer service. I work in retail, I see daily how truly good managers treat customers. This was extremely rude and “blame the customer”, even with met with genuine confusion and a “I’m sorry, I don’t think this is what I ordered.” I don’t receive a “I’m sorry about the miscommunication, what can we do to make this better?” Attitude From her. With what little choice I had left, I then asked for a bun and bacon bits. They proceeded to charge me $2.75 for said bun and bacon bits. I came for a burger, i was not going to purchase a bowl as well as a burger. I absolutely loved this place but I am horrified and extremely disappointed. Nor does the food taste anything like what I remember it had past times, Will not be returning...
