I usually go to another place further north for Bánh mì, but I chose to stay closer to my job and try out a new place -- that's where Indochine came into play. For an early-evening dinner, I was thoroughly impressed with what I had at Indochine at a reasonable price. Indochine was one of those restaurants squeezed in a busy city street that could have easily been missed unless one searches for Phở, Bánh mì or certain other Vietnamese staple dishes in or near New Brunswick. For the dinner with myself, I started off with Pork Chả giò and had a "Traditional" Bánh mì (paired with a combo of fries and a drink.) The Chả giò was well made and cleanly paired with the lettuce wrap, cilantro and Nước chấm (dipping sauce) -- very simple and a delicious starter ($5.95 for 4 pieces.) The "Traditional" Bánh mì, a Vietnamese baguette sandwich generously stuffed with pork roll, ham, pâté, mayo, cucumber, jalapeño, cilantro, pickled radish and carrot, was very flavourful (and probably would be spicy to the unsuspecting if they do not read the menu properly.) The accents of the savoury and spicy Vietnamese iconic sandwich surely present themselves well here and earn more of the "Authentic" title -- there are many more variants of this sandwich that this shop has yet to offer, but this is surely more of a welcome to authentic taste. The fries used in the combination pairing were the crispy fries (good choice with the sandwich) and a drink is included (around $10.25 after $2.00 combo addition.) Inside on a Wednesday early evening (say 18:00,) the restaurant was very quiet with more takeout customers than dine-in. The two staff working the front were very relaxed. The atmosphere was more western-modern and the sit down-casual dining style was neutral/pleasant. The interior is well-maintained and clean. Overall, if you're looking for a quick, early dinner, solo or with friends, and you're feeling Bánh mì or Vietnamese cuisine in general and you're around the area (not further north,) give Indochine a try. This will become the second of my go-to spots for Bánh mì when I'm near my job.

Edit: Terrible service!!. Server was constantly on the phone and serving water after asking twice and take incorrect order. Other worker eat their lunch with loud cellphone videos. The service was quite disappointing, yet the pho they serve is truly delicious but atmosphere made it not joyable. I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, but the service and ambiance only deserve a 2 out of 5.. This place is absolutely fantastic when it comes to dining in the New Brunswick area! The dish I had was meticulously crafted, and the broth was simply divine, with a delightful mix of vegetables and tofu. The serving size was more than generous, and the prices were quite reasonable. The summer roll was a burst of flavors, and the peanut sauce had a unique twist compared to other Vietnamese eateries. Our server was incredibly welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. The ambiance is average but, offering delicious food, impeccable service, and a wide array of vegetarian choices. And let's not forget the hot green tea, which was simply exquisite and offered a distinct taste that set it apart. In conclusion, our server was exceptionally friendly, and the overall dining experience at this location is unparalleled, boasting delectable dishes, excellent service, and an extensive vegetarian menu.

Simply, great Vietnamese food in New Brunswick. The restaurant is simple and a popular place for takeout but great to eat in as well. The pork and shrimp spring rolls (A4) are massive and delicious, paired with an excellent peanut sauce. We both ordered bun (noodle bowls) which were MASSIVE and covered in “toppings”. LOVE that many come with a little egg roll as a part of the bowls, but the noodle bowl with grilled chicken, shrimp & eggroll (N5) was full of protein and the vinegar fish sauce “dressing” was perfect with the vermicelli rice noodles. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.

We ordered two rice noodle dishes and a rice dish. The place was nearly empty with 2 other tables being occupied (on a Saturday evening...). The rice was cold, and had to be reheated by the kitchen. There was almost no sauce on any of these dishes, making them rather dry. One of the rice noodle dishes had luke-warm noodles, which were flexible and apparently prepared more recently. The other portion; however, was refrigerator-cold, and the noodles were stiff and dried out, making them very unpleasant to eat. They definitely were not prepared within the last few hours, more likely a leftover from the day before? We also didn't appreciate that there were a meager 6 shrimp on the shrimp noodle dish. There were more shrimp in the spring rolls. Other than that, the food was very average, and the sauces were definitely not home-made. There are too many good Asian restaurants in the area, so we won't spend our...
