Sophia's Pizzeria — Restaurant in New Cumberland

I came across a sponsored ad on Facebook from this place for their new Detroit style pizza and I had to try it. Being from the Detroit area myself, I was very excited to see a pizza place offer it in this area. Anyway, the pizza was fantastic! Was it 100% authentic Detroit style pizza, not exactly, but it was very close. The pizza dough was a little too light and airy for Detroit style. I'm not sure what was used but it should more like focaccia. Still good! I'd also suggest a little more sauce on top. Again, still good! Also, the pizza itself could've used a few more minutes in the oven. Don't be afraid to get a little bit of char on the crust. Speaking of the crust... That crust is a HOME RUN! The crust is really what makes a Detroit style pizza and they nailed it. Even if they don't take any of my advice, I will definitely be ordering again just so I can have that crust again. It's not Buddy's, Loui's or Shield's but it's really, really good!

So I ordered from here and she did not tell me that it was gonna be almost 2 hours for my food. All she said when I ordered was that we will be there as soon as we can. I called an hour after I ordered and she said that he was out with our order. Almost 2 hours later she called back. Cause I had to run out and get something different for dinner cause it’s almost 900 and my children were hungry and needed to go to bed. Then proceeded to call back and left this message. Tried to lie and cover her ass. “ “Hi, this is Laura from Sophia 's pizza. You had placed an order for delivery with us tonight when you placed an order I had verified with you that I was going to be an hour and a half to an hour and 4 5 minutes prior to you placing the order and you verified that that was gonna be OK you just refuse the order with her delivery driver. I just wanna let you know that if you do this again, we will no longer be accepting orders with you guys and continuing business with you because that is not OK because we're now eating the last of this food and that's not right for us. We're a good people and that's not acceptable. Have a good night. Thank you. …” horrible service and I’ve never had this issue before until now....

Worse customer service at the counter went in this evening to order got told they had no boxes for there 28 inch pizza and then on top of it all that you have to give a 24 hour notice the only place it says that is on the back but the little sticker looking advertisement on the pizza page itself doesn't say that. The pizza itself was so greasy that by the time I got home not to far away that the bottom of the box was soaked and my fiance lape was full of grease. The gator bites tasted nothing like gator and where over cooked the zucchini fries burnt the regular fries where so greasy my son wouldn't even touch them cheese y bread not even really cut just like the pizza if I could this would be a zero star rating will not be returning to this restaurant will not recommend this restaurant there counter guy was on his cell phone and trying to help customer s phone call seemed more important may ask my bank what they can do about this since everything was so greasy that it was pretty...
