BBQ Chicken New Haven delivers the flavorful Korean fried chicken you’d expect from this popular franchise. The food tastes great, with crispy, juicy chicken and bold sauces that hit the spot for anyone craving a Korean chicken fix. Whether you’re a fan of the classic Golden Olive or spicy wings, the quality is consistent and satisfying. The restaurant has a lively vibe and was fairly busy during my visit, but the service was impressively quick. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff was efficient and ensured orders were prepared and delivered without delay. That said, the pricing here is noticeably higher compared to other locations of the same franchise. While the food is good, the cost might make you pause if you’re familiar with BBQ Chicken elsewhere. Overall, BBQ Chicken New Haven is a solid choice for a flavorful and satisfying meal. The slightly higher price tag is worth it if you’re looking for great Korean fried chicken served quickly in a busy yet well-run spot.

I'm a regular at bb.q locations in New York but this was my first time eating here and I was incredibly disappointed by the consequences their choice of packaging had for my takeout order. I placed an order for wings at 12, got there at 12:25 to pick them up, and found that my wings were in a sealed plastic container. I opened them as soon as I got into the car but the damage was done already, they are a steamy mushy mess, no crunch whatsoever. It may seem petty but the whole point of why I patronize bb.q chicken is how amazingly crispy it as, and that it stays crispy as it cools down. Other bb.q locations have lined cardboard containers for takeout, that allow the chicken to breathe as it is transported. The staff was lovely and service was great, but I can't in good conscience recommend that you get takeout from this location until they swap to a packaging style that doesn't ruin their food. Once that's fixed, it's an easy five stars.

DISGUSTING, I received meat that wasn't even chicken. DO NOT EAT HERE. I wanted to avoid writing this review if I had simply received a refund for this disgusting food. Since the customer service refused to respond to my request for a refund, I'd like to share these photos so folks know what food they're purchasing. I knew as soon as I tasted it that something wasn't right. It did not taste like chicken meat. I shared with my husband and a few coworkers, who all agreed it was terrible and didn't seem to be chicken. Would anyone eat food looking like this? There is no way it was chicken. A complete waste of $38 and even worse, the company not taking responsibility by simply refunding me.

Short version: bb.q Chicken offers top-of-the-line Korean fried chicken with perfectly fried Korean chicken and ample portion sizes. The menu includes chicken sandwiches and traditional Korean sides for those looking for something aside from boxes of fried chicken. The restaurant is clean with courteous staff, though the generic taste in Kpop background music might not suit everyone's taste.

Full Review: I cannot recommend bb.q Chicken highly enough for its exceptional Korean fried chicken. This restaurant truly sets the bar for quality and taste, consistently delivering a perfect fried chicken experience.

The chicken is perfectly battered and fried to crispy perfection, making each bite a delight. The menu offers a variety of options, including sandwiches and traditional Korean side dishes and appetizers, catering to a range of tastes.

One of the standout features of bb.q Chicken is the portion sizes, which are generous without being overwhelming. Each piece of chicken is of the highest quality, ensuring a consistently perfect dining experience.

I have experienced bb.q Chicken through dining in, ordering takeout in person, and using a delivery app, and I have never been disappointed. The staff are always courteous and efficient, providing excellent service that enhances the overall dining experience.

The restaurant itself is clean, well-staffed, and has a decent decor and ambience. While the background music tends to lean towards basic K-pop music and K-dramas rather than more cultured Korean artists, this is a minor detail that does not detract from the overall dining experience.

bb.q Chicken earns a well-deserved 5-star rating for its top-of-the-line Korean fried chicken, excellent service, and overall dining experience. Whether you dine in, take out, or order delivery, bb.q Chicken is sure to exceed your...

Customer Harassment Regarding Refund(Attention!!!!!!!!) I went to BBQ Chicken to pick up the order on 1/22/20. I gave my debit card to a cashier, and the cashier accidentally processed $ 38.18 for another order, and I asked for void processing, and I was told that void was processed. After that, the normal amount of $ 46.19 was processed by debit card again. However, since I checked my account after that, void was not processed. So, I asked for the refund over the phone several times and waited for it to be processed, but it wasn't processed, so I visited and asked for the refund on t2/12/20, but the new manager asked for waiting again to handle the refund after finding out, but there was no response. So, on 2/27/20, I filed a complaint to DCP(Depart of Consumer Protection) to ask for a refund and additional compensation. On 3/20/20, for the first time, the owner sent an email to the apologizing email and said he would process the refund. DCP contacted BBQ Chicken numerous times to resolve the issue, but I got an email saying that it was closed on 4/16/20 because there was no response and was offered to use a court if necessary. On 4/20/20, the owner emailed me again to request my credit card information for the refund, but I couldn't believe him or her. Instead, I asked him or her to contact DCP directly if you really wanted to resolve it. After that, On 4/28/20 , a manager emailed me again to request the exact date, amount and the last 4 digits of the debit card with uncomfortable messages. In conclusion, BBQ Chicken is a very ugly business that haven't dealt with my refund request for more than 3 months. Beyond customer harassment, I felt like this is kind of a crime. It will be difficult in many ways, but I am going to solve this using a court. It will be brought to justice by law to prevent another...

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have serious concerns regarding the quality and safety of the food served at BBQ Chicken Korean Restaurant in New Haven. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and completely ruined our event due to the revolting food.

The entire order had a strong chemical taste that was immediately noticeable and agreed upon by everyone in my group. The food had an artificial, plastic-like flavor that rendered it entirely inedible. This raises questions about the preparation, handling, or storage of the food, as such a flavor is neither natural nor acceptable.

The chicken was extremely dry, stale, and unappetizing. The texture was hard and rubbery, suggesting improper preparation or poor-quality ingredients. It did not meet even the most basic standards of freshness or edibility. Combined with the chemical taste, this was far beyond a matter of personal preference—it was genuinely concerning from a food safety perspective.

Ultimately, the entire order had to be discarded as it was unfit for consumption. This not only resulted in a waste of money, time, and careful event planning, also left us deeply concerned about the potential health risks posed by the food. Such issues demand immediate attention from management and, potentially, local health authorities.

I urge the restaurant to review its food handling and preparation processes to ensure that these problems are addressed promptly. Customers should feel confident that the food they are served is safe to consume, and this experience did not meet those basic...
