I have been waiting for this place to open up for a while now and when it finally did last week I was like an excited little kid in a candy shop!! First of all the service was great. The workers were informative, polite, and were constantly asking for feedback since they just opened. Any place actively doing that is a great place in my book and just means they're going to continue to get better! The food came out quick and was absolutely delicious. I've never tried crawfish but did not hesitate when we asked for the $40 combo of 1lb shrimp, 1lb clams, and 1lb crawfish which was a perfect amount for 2-3 people. Reasonably priced for tasty seafood in my opinion! You choose a sauce (we got garlic butter) and a spiciness level (we chose middle of the road however next time we will be going full-blown spice). We got the raw oysters and edamame. Also reasonably priced and so delicious. I loved the versatile dishes on the menu. Of course we tried the ice cream at the end. You choose yogurt or ice cream, a flavor, two toppings, and a sauce. You can watch them make it right there for you (kind of like Coldstone but MUCH better). The staff informed us of the freshness of the food and it was obvious. The ambience and set up is great and for a second you don't even feel like you're in New Haven. I cannot wait to go back and try everything else! We will definitely be back multiple times! I highly...
Read moreThe reason that I give two stars for food is because an incident. I ordered a crab meatball among other things. About 10 minutes later the server told me that they only have 6 crab meatballs left. An order has 8 meatballs. The server said they can substitute with shrimp balls if I am okay with it. I am quite sure that a crab meatball is higher priced than a shrimp ball but I agreed to it. I was treating a friend there and I don’t want to ruin the atmosphere. When crab meatballs came, I took one of the “shrimp balls.” It was not a shrimp ball. It was hush puppies. I just ate both hush puppies without my friend even knowing. Could this be a mistake? Maybe. If a chef can’t tell the difference between a shrimp ball and a hush puppy then...
Read moreSeafood wasn’t the freshest I’ve had in CT but it was good for the price. The 3 of us ordered the $69.99 boiled seafood combo, which had 2lb Snow crab legs, 1lb clams, 1lb craw fish. You get to pick from several sauces- Original Cajun, Old Bay, garlic butter, lemon, plain, etc. We went with the Cajun and it was garlicky and flavorful with a little kick to it. You can also pick from 3 levels of spiciness. The seafood gumbo soup was seasoned well with pepper and they weren’t stingy with the seafood. Lobster roll had hot/cold option and was served with brioche slices; the side of fries were bomb!!
The apron, gloves, wipes and wastebucket for shells and napkin roll were a nice touch. Servers were attentive. Would return if I visit New...
