Due to sanitation issue, I didn’t have a chance to taste the ice cream, even though I’ve been waited very long time, sigh. To the shop owner: please train your employees with sanitation and hygiene regulations, especially if you are running an open kitchen! And maybe some adequate manners for customers.
I ordered a cup of milkshake. The casher, without wearing disposable gloves (all other employees were wearing them), started to make my milkshake. I was like ok… I didn’t see her washing her hands but don’t think about it too much, little did I know such things won't stop.
Then I saw her dropping my cup on the floor, and then picked up, observed it, discussed something (about the cup?) with her coworker, and poured my shakes in the cup. Out of shock, I immediately shouted “Excuse me, didn’t you just drop the cup?!” She didn’t have an eye contact with me, merely saying “Well, did I…?” And she got a new cup.
Then, she picked up a shake mixer knife, out of the sink, where her coworker was washing a dirty, grey-colored cloth (hope it was not a rag!) and put it in the mixer that she put ice cream for my milkshake!! I still can’t believe she did that when she knows customers were watching her, especially I just talked to her! So I called another employee, told him what I saw (and probably he was also aware of it because he’s the one who was washing the clothes at the sink) and told that I can’t take that milkshake, and demanded a refund. He asked the casher with the issue to refund me.
The casher again, without having an eye contact with me, without any apology or any response, processed a refund. I asked her for a refund receipt, she answered: “No. It doesn’t work like that.” As she finished her word, the machine printed my refund receipt lol. She tossed the receipt to me, turned her eyes, said “next!”
I read many good reviews about the taste of ice cream here, but alas, I didn't have a good...
Read moreI got ice cream here with a couple friends on a Thursday night in May. The service was terrible. The girls working that day were very rude. The ice cream was also just too sweet for my preference.
First we asked if they did samples and one of the workers said yes. We asked her if we could try some, but she responded “I can’t, Im the only one at the register” which we totally understood. There were two other girls behind the counter, one was helping another group of customers and the other was free. So we go stand in front of the ice cream cases waiting for one of the other girls to help us. We stood there for like 5 - 10 minutes while 2 other customers, who came in after us, were served before we were. Finally, after those customers were served one of the girls came up to us and aggressively asked us what we wanted to try. She was glaring and huffing at us.
When we went up to order, they rang us up wrong but we didn’t notice until after we paid, so we asked for a refund for the item that was included in our bill that we actually didn’t order. The girl at the register was like fine, and the other girl was whispering to her “omg are they really making you do a refund just for a couple of dollars, god can’t they just leave”.
I mean I get it, I worked in the service industry and dealing with people are annoying some days, but you also shouldn’t be rude to people (there are caveats to that rule i guess, but I firmly believe we were very polite, weren’t loud, or even demanding), at least wait until after they leave if you want to talk...
Read moreI had a very terrible experience at MilkCraft last night. Since the quarantine has been lifted, it’s been my first time coming back. I was craving this for a long time. So my boyfriend, sister and I decided to take the drive up to get some ice cream. When we got inside, we realized there were ZERO hand sanitizers in place for customers to sanitize their hands with. So my boyfriend decided to go to the bathroom to wash his hands instead.. When he got to to bathroom the door was locked and one of the workers informed him that they’re keeping them locked. Now this is already a horrible situation, not only can’t we or (other guest) for that matter, sanitize our hands before we eat Ice cream, we can’t even be afforded the courtesy of getting them washed as well? And to make already bad matters worse, when we got done paying for our stuff (via credit card) the screen prompted my boyfriend to sign and there wasn’t even a pen to sign the screen with. So in other words, every single person that pays via credit card, hands have touched or will eventually be touching that unsanitary screen to sign. THIS IS INSANE and I painfully see how the virus spreads. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve frequented MilkCraft a lot and I do know this is regular check out method. But in the age of a pandemic, this is UNACCEPTABLE to say the least. Also, especially very scary that not ONE worker in sight was sanitizing anything.. This was the worse experience I’ve...
