They sell kratom, a drug that is still legal in the US, even though it is highly addictive. Many people who have experienced the withdrawal that comes from kratom dependency say it was extremely difficult, while health care professionals who have witnessed opiate withdraw and kratom withdrawal, say kratom come down is more severe. Many people who want to get off kratom can't handle the withdrawal, and continue using.
People go into this store thinking it is just a tea shop, and a place for adults, particularly those in recovery, to go and hangout without getting tempted into relapsing, but unfortunately they often end up getting the kratom "pitch" which is a false sales pitch that portrays kratom to be this all-natural, non-addictive, mood stabilizer, and pain reliever...in a nut shell. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE, look into kratom stats and research reviews and articles, etc. before taking it. The proprietors carefully avoid explaining to the customer the reality of kratom, which is that it is a pretty heavy and addictive drug. The saddest part about this is when people in recovery come in and think they are ordering something harmless and innocent, just to end up breaking their sobriety and finding themselves in the same substance abuse loop. I have seen it happen and it is heartbreaking. I hope the owners come to their senses and see the damage this drug they are peddling is doing to people, and stop selling it. FUN FACT: kratom is from Indonesia. FUN FACT: Indonesia rehabilitation centers specialize in rehabilitating kratom addicts. FUN FACT: Indonesia is trying to put a ban on kratom in their own country, but, since kratom is such a cash crop, they haven't been successful, yet they are still making progress. TO SUM IT UP: Kratom is highly addictive, and causes terrible long term damage and even more terrible withdrawal. Abuse of this drug can cause psychosis and other severe mental health problems. avoid the hassle and just steer clear of the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was accused of harassment without a single prior customer compliment after breaking down in tears. Obliging the PA state laws of purchasing a bottle of wine and then being told that Iām in the wrong for having a concealed and closed bottle of wine which I wasnāt drinking from and purchased and verified for legalistic by another private facility in the state of PAā¦. by demanding that I speak to the owner when I consented that I didnāt want to after a private citizen comforted me and purchased me a beverage when I broke out in tears and accusing me of breaking a black-and-white law written in stone that I didnāt break⦠I was the one harassed and accused of touching customers without graphic or video proof, told that my things were taken out twice while they remained on camera on the chair the entire timeā¦. Apparently being kind isnāt enoughā¦. I was proceeded to be actually physically touched and threatened w empty legalities when I pointed out to the federal and state law of the land ie the lies that I was accused of. My point - if you barrate someone for false accusations and get upset when they say you lied when thereās no evidence of it you are quite literally harassing them⦠thatās quite literally the definition of harassment under most if not all state law. Not sure who gave a barista a law degree, but as a LLC you rent from the people so please your supposed interpretation of your view of consistent accordingly and speak to a lawyer before you threaten someone or try to tell them what to do ie the basis of the foundation laid forth by the founding fathers. Keep your hand off of me and donāt accuse me of that which you have no evidence of, your feelings donāt matter to the DA, jury, or the Judge. Enjoy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were very excited when we saw that a tea house had opened in New Hope, since there arenāt too many places downtown to sit, hang out, read and enjoy a chill atmosphere. We didnāt realize what we were actually getting with Magikava. It has become a home away from home. Caitlin & Erik have created a warm and inviting spot and they greet everyone with a smile and usually some stories. We have learned about the wonderful properties of Kava and Kratom and though they are the unique draw as the only Kava bar in NJ/PA area, the teas that K&E have blended are just as magikal. We have spent many hours unwinding from a long work day reading in one of their comfy chairs by the front window and the best seats in town on the weekends is right out front by the cauldron or the circular patio. Great spot to people/car/motorcycle watch while having one of their crafted ice teas. Come for the Kava, stay for the company, come back...
