Date of Visit: Sat Aug 19, 2023 Prior to seeing a show at the Buck’s County Playhouse, we stopped into this restaurant for dinner. It is a small restaurant with a tiny patio. We sat on the patio. There was only one Guy working here, and so there was a bit of confusion over where to sit, how to order, etc. Eventually, we did sit on the patio, and the one person came and acknowledged us. He apologized for delays, and took our drink order. We then ordered our meals and were given nacho chips and salsa. The red salsa is very hot – inferno -hot. It was a lot spicier than I imagined possible. The meals – were very fresh, served hot, and very plentiful. The flavours were on point – exactly what I would expect from good quality Mexican food. We had so much food, we could not finish it all, and since we were on our way to a show, we couldn’t take home leftovers. This was a great place to go for a good meal. It was just unfortunate we didn’t have the time to properly savour the meal. The Prices of our meal were so cheap and the most affordable meal we had on our entire trip. The gentleman working was all alone, as the restaurant was short staffed that night, this caused delays and a lot of work for him, but he kept his cool. And was always pleasant and friendly. I tipped him 50% because he deserved recognition, but also because I saw other people were cheaping out on tip due to the delays. He was doing his very best under tough circumstances and he was very nice...

Ordered a $24 dish that was supposed to have chicharrón. They brought out the dish with a different type of meat that was overcooked and bland. We Asked where the chicharrón was, waitress stated they ran out so they put some other type of meat to replace it instead of letting us know because we would’ve liked to order something else if we had known. The lack of communication was not okay. We complained about it and they just gave us $3 in cash. 2 meals + a kids meal and a soup turned out to be $60+. Absolutely not worth the price. Not real Mexican food. Very basic, not seasoned, and small portions. The “chicken tortilla soup” was nasty. It was a thick paste like puréed chips with chicken mixed in. I’ve had all the dishes ordered at real authentic places and the service was much better. Larger portion sizes and better food. This was a disappointment. And the $3 off was a slap in the face lol.
