A Culinary Gem in New Hope: The Good Gyro Rivals the Finest Mediterranean Delicacies
Having traveled extensively through Greece, Egypt, and Spain, I can confidently say that The Good Gyro at Ferry Market in New Hope, PA, stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest Mediterranean cuisine I have ever tasted. The Eggplant Mesa’a’ah here is an absolute masterpiece, offering a rich, authentic flavor that transports you straight to the heart of the Mediterranean.
The selection of Moroccan eggplant, eggplant stew, red beet salad, and hummus is unparalleled. Each dish is a testament to the art of cooking, lovingly prepared by families who pour their passion into every bite. The freshness and quality of ingredients are evident, making each dish a delightful culinary experience.
To top it all, their homemade honey Baklava is divine, and the sugar-free Halva is a treat for those seeking a healthier option without compromising on taste. The value is exceptional – an upscale delicatessen or restaurant would charge triple the price for such high-quality fare.
In summary, The Good Gyro offers an amazing culinary experience that rivals the best Mediterranean dishes from around the world. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic, flavorful, and lovingly prepared food. Bravo to the families behind this gem – your love for cooking shines through...
Read moreBased on all the glowing reviews we took a chance on contacting this family-run business to cater our 20p family event. I’m SO glad we did. We ordered 2-3 large sampler platters (fixed rate per person): a selection of the various prepared salads/stews/sides—spanakopita, mousaka, dolmas, Moroccan eggplant, roasted cauliflower, lentils, beets, fava, tabbouleh etc, shawarma meats, rice, tahini & garlic sauces, babaganoush/hummus with pita, & dessert tray. The savory dishes were a perfect balance of flavors —very authentic & fresh Mediterranean cuisine; baklava was buttery & flaky. All our guests raved that it was the best food they’ve had —ever. And one foodie said, “when I eat this food I feel like I’m being truly nourished.” From the creative presentation, and the ease of communicating with the owners our needs, to the delightful experience of eating the food —it was worth every penny. Nedal & his wife have crafted a truly special place and made us devoted customers....

The owners are such kind people and you can tell this is truly a family-oriented business. The husband and wife team puts so much care into everything they do. Every time we’ve used them for catering family gatherings, all our guests compliment the food and ask where it came from.
The authenticity really shines through in every dish, from their hand-ground spices to their traditional preparation methods. It’s wonderful to have found a place that brings genuine Mediterranean flavors to our community.
