After reading all the great reviews, we were really excited to check this place out. When you first walk in, the storefront is super cool and inviting, leading into the museum portion in the back. We browsed the shop a bit but were eager to explore the back section.
We’d read that admission to the museum area is $5 per person unless you make a purchase, in which case it’s free. We paid the $5 each and went in to view the exhibits. The owner was engaged in a conversation with another couple, so unfortunately, we didn’t get to hear any background stories about the pieces. Eventually, another staff member did come over, but by that point, we had already spent a good amount of time and were ready to head out.
Before leaving, we took another look around the shop and found something we wanted to purchase. At that point, we assumed the entry fee (for the three of us) would be applied toward our purchase, based on what we had read. But when we brought it up, the young lady at the register looked at us like we had three heads. No discount, no acknowledgment.
All in all, it was an okay one-time experience, but not something we’d go out of our way...
Read moreI stumbled upon this at random looking for things to do in New Hope area. It is tucked away right by a distillery and entering below via stairs -- the horror vault. If you are a big horror fan, this place is great to see. It is open all year round, so you do not have to worry going just around Halloween time. There is a cost of $5.00 entry, if you are only doing the gallery. If you made a purchase entry is free. The spot is small but the shop is great for a horror themed gift and the gallery in the back is filled with so many authentic items from multiple horror TV and movie shows. The staff provided a chill atmosphere. When we first entered the shop, everyone was super inviting to come into the shop as well as friendly and welcoming for questions. Overall, highly recommend...
