Denny's — Restaurant in New Kensington

Update: still terrible service) the waitresses guard the condiments like it's money from their own pocket. Lying to you about how ranch gets charged when there is no feature to do so. It never ends. If it was let for convenience I would never get anything from here. Foods good enough but everything else is horrible. The inmates are running the asylum. And I do not say that lightly this has been repeated with consistency for about 6 months. If you place a to go order after 9pm, please be prepared for an attitude from the server and then the waitress. But thats only after you wait up to 10 minutes for them to acknowledge you. Even though the establishment was empty, and I see why, they act like theyre so hectic and overwhelmed they just dont have time for you. Lastly check your order, feel lucky if on their 1st attempt they give you what's actually requested. I have not been so lucky. I do not like writing scathing reviews. I prefer promoting businesses not demoralizing them, but this needed said. I wrote review last year, commending them. But those ppl are no longer here and all I get now is grief and attitude. They wouldn't know who wrote this because I go on in each time with a fresh mindset and positive outlook because the food industry is hard. And the world is harder right now, but treat those how you want to be treated needs to be reestablished with this current team. Food was good though so props to the chef and mgmt when visible is...

Our past couple trips here have been absolutely terrible.. the most recent trip the hostess tried seating my large family with several children in a booth that in no way would have held all of us. When I asked for a larger booth in the back I was told it had cups on it and it was only after pressing her to go clean it that she did and we were able to sit down. Our waitress seemed super sketchy and tweaked out (as do most of the wait staff) we placed our order and she brought us our drinks. While serving our drinks she actually fell across the table trying to reach too far to place the kids drinks on the table and then we waited almost 25 minutes for my sons milkshake. When I approached the manager Zaq about this he informed me that they only had 1 shake machine (which was totally irrelevant because no one was using it) and kinda dismissed me. Our waitress brought us the wrong sides for the kids and when we were all done she told us to have a good night but never brought us the check. When I told her we needed the check she informed my mother in law that she had given it to me which never happened.. after a few very confusing moments for her she printed the check and dropped it off. We would probably never eat here again after this.. if anyone is looking for a bite to eat at Denny's I'd recommend driving the short distance to Harmar where you don't have to worry about sketchy servers and management who makes it obvious that they don't want...

At 11pm last night October 22nd I was on my way from Pittsburgh to home about a 2.5 hour drive home. Just past the New Kensington exit we hit a deer. It was absolute chaos. I tried to stop at the Quality Inn just to stay till my ride got there, they turned me away. Guess they don't know the story of Jesus. I walked in the rain back up to the highway and saw the Dennys was open. Figured a cup of coffee and a few phone calls would be amazing. I stepped in they were surpsingly busy. The small build African American girl ( my deepest apologies I don't remember her name.) Waited on us. She heard what happened she was so very attentive. Her compassion for my situation gave me faith in humans this night. It's hard enough out here with the separation of people based on all kinds of ridiculous stipulations. It's rare to find humans who just see your human and have the heart to help out. So thank you Dennys and thank you to that young lady. You saved my night I am grateful. All I needed was a place to collect myself. I ate gave a good tip and was on my way. If you're reading this be a better human we are all out here fumbling through the rain try to make...
