I visited Chili's not too long ago and was very happy with our visit. We had to wait a little while for our table, but while we waited the hostess would come over and check with us every few minutes and tell us they were working on getting us a table. The restaurant was busy so there was no problem with having to wait. Once we were seated the waitress was at the table within minutes. Her upbeat personality, friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness was outstanding! She made us feel like we were her only table...and I saw her doing that with the other tables she was waiting on. We were given the greatest customer service ever. Kudos to Tammy at the New Lennox store. She really is a terrific server/waitress (ot sure what the name is now) She made us feel so important and whatever we needed she made sure we had it within minutes!! Restaurants need more staff like Tammy to make eating out a better experience. We will be back in to dine in your New Lennox store and we will request Tammy as our server/waitress!! Well, after seeing all the positive reviews on social media about Chili's "turning it around", decided to check it out for my son's birthday. Quick seating, very attentive service. All great. Had the crispy fried mozzarella sticks with Honey Chipotle sauce. Those were very nice. He had a basic hamburger and I ordered the Triple Fajitas. His burger was great. Maybe I over-thought the Fajitas. I was under-whelmed. Don't take this as a big negative. The food offered was just great, super preparation, great presentation, all excellently prepared. Just, no flavor. Maybe I thought I was to get too much? There was a ton of food, expertly prepared steak pieces, chicken and lots of shrimp. Tons of grilled peppers and onions as a base. But.....just no flavor. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish? The steak had no real flavor. The corn tortillas were just simple white corn wrapped in tin foil and heated and then when opened, just dried up and fell apart. The side salsa and cheese was very basic and not freshly made.
