Joey’s Red Hots — Restaurant in New Lenox

My son went there a the first week it opened and ordered the shrimp basket. He loved it so a couple days later I went there and I ordered the shrimp basket, a burger, and onion rings. Took it home and opened the up the shrimp basket. It was laughable. The shrimp were the size of my fingernail, about 15 of them, clearly overcooked, and laying on a mountain of undercooked french fries. I then opened the bag of onion rings. They were about 20 seconds away from being burnt. They were so overcooked that the onions were crispy. Needless to say I tasted all of it and then threw it in the trash. My husband did think his burger was ok. So today we thought we would give them another try. I ordered the Chicago hot dog without peppers and relish and got a Gyros for my husband. When I got it home I was surprised that the fries were cooked, Gyros had everything , but the hot dog was wrong. The hot dog had peppers (which is no big deal I just took them off) and had no tomatos or celery salt. It wasn't life altering but come on put a little effort into the food you serve. If I ever go there again (which I pretty much doubt) then before I leave I inspect every item I purchased. Joey's is a place a couple of my friends recommended, and I liked it so much, that I brought another friend of mine to try it. The food we got was a deep dish sausage pizza with other toppings, and I have to say, it is out of this world.

The pizza is very flavorful and filling. If you decide to order garlic for your pizza, they bake it into the pizza and it even takes the experience to a whole new level that will keep you coming back and inviting others to try.

I've had both takeout and dine in with Joey's. If you choose to do dine-in, all soft drinks are self-service, and you can choose where you want to sit. A napkin dispenser is also available at your table, so you don't have to get up and ask for more napkins. It is also a very spacious restaurant inside so you can choose where you want to sit without being crowded.

All in all there are many plusses with choosing to eat at Joey's. I'm sure other items on their menu are also good, but when you've had their pizza, it's hard to go there and not have a taste for it. But since that is so good, I will have to try out other items as well. I...

I usually don't talk about places that are not good, but from I walked thru the door to order , the girl gave me a discuted look like it was a problem for me to order , I put my order in and not.even a thank you , or have a nice day ! So I waited.for my food, , when I got.to work I opened the bag, they didnt even get order right, plus.food was.cold , and when I called to talk to a manager ? The girl that answered the phone ? Told me you can tell me , I asked if she was a manager and she said no I'm not , but you can tell me, I got her name and called the other store, spoke with manager there and explained everything that happened, she explained sorry for the bad time , took my name amd number, and said the.manager for NEW LENOX restaurant isn't there today but she will call you tomorrow , I said Thank you amd gues what .????
