Starbucks — Restaurant in New Lenox

Be careful with the staff here they are dangerously under trained I visited the location like I have many times and I ordered a mango dragon fruit lemonade Starbucks refresher unfortunately they were out of the berries, which is not too uncommon The barista asked me if she could substitute a different item I apologized and told her that, unfortunately I prefer the drink made a certain way and that I would rather just have a refund The barista acknowledged and attempted to process a refund. She went to a manager, who I assuming was the one that was misinformed And was told that they cannot process online order refunds at the location that they have to be done over the phone to call customer service I thought it was odd because I’ve had them do it at other locations but didn’t want to waste more time so I called customer service Long story short customer service stated that they were wrong Customer service stated that the issue should be addressed inside the store and that I should go back for the refund Keep in mind I left without a drink 25 minutes later on the phone I was able to go above the customer service rep and speak to a supervisor who gave me my 6.51 back for the drink like not even kidding worst...

I frequent this location often.I enjoy my beverage and occasionally a bakery item while I read.Every visit the tables by the upholstered chairs are dirty and sticky.The larger tables are worse.Once I asked for a towel to clean the table and an employee came over and did a fast wipe (smear) of the table.It was not cleaner than before it was wiped.The floor is almost as bad, food bits, straw wrappers and sticky.Today I had to grab an extra chair for my backpack because the floor was so filthy.I go to the Frankfort, IL location weekly because it’s near an appointment.That location is MUCH cleaner.Occasionally I need to wipe the wood tables by the upholstered chairs and the floor is not 100% clean, but it’s much better, and I don’t expect 100% because it’s a busy business.But at least meet minimum cleaning standards at the Cedar New Lenox, IL location.Frankfort is further from my house, but unless the cleanliness improves I will make that my every day location, or I will go to the locally owned Gost Coffee. Beverages at Cedar are always properly made...
