So sad what happened to this place, it used to be so good. I've been a customer since they were on Louisiana Ave, and always loved the big portions and flavor of the food. The portions are still big but the food is not even decent anymore. This last order was my last straw. The shrimp fried rice was not cooked at ALL. Flavorless shrimp, white rice, hard uncooked peas and crispy raw onion. If this rice hit a skillet it was only for like 30 seconds. Just awful; didn't eat it. The chicken and broccoli that used to come swimming in a yummy brown sauce barely had any, and the chicken was unseasoned so there was no flavor. Lastly, I ordered Chinese food to begin with bc I had a craving for an egg roll, and my egg roll was left out of my order completely. Even though I was clear that I wanted a combo plate AND a cup of chicken noodle soup, the monotone chick on the phone that took my order assumed I wanted a substitute instead of asking. When I called to complain she couldn't have cared less and seemed annoyed to be talking to me. Seriously, stop letting that chick deal with customers, her manor is awful. No more...
Read moreMy friends and I ordered take out last Friday from this place. I was very happy with my shrimp n cashews in the garlic sauce, non spicy. It had carrots, mushrooms, zucchini and celery all cut the perfect size and not a green pea used! Here's the thing, once you decide on the type of dish you can select your protein and sauce. My friend had a dish where she selected about 8 vegetables. The other had lo main noodles with combo of proteins, delish noodles. They also have dinners for 3, 4, 5 people. Went again today. Worst egg roll, it had 2 shrimp and about a cup of cabbage-not good. My son had the brocholi and pork in brown sauce-he said sauce was bland, meat chewy. Daughter had egg drop soup and shrimp with veggies. I had the same with brown sauce. It had good flavor but veggies were cut too big. Good number of shrimp. I added fried rice with shrimp and 2 eggs. Good...
Read moreThe reviews were good, the prices were good, and the photos of the food looked good. But whatever I ordered last saturday was the worst meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. I love cheap chinese food and have low standards, but even this was repulsive. Easily the lowest quality food I have ever seen served. The sweet and sour chicken was miniscule pieces of chicken surrounded by thick blankets of dough- thoroughly inedible. The chicken in the chicken and broccoli was the quality of dog food. I have never tasted chicken with as rubbery a texture and an after taste quite so nauseating. I threw out most of what I received and have been praying ever since that I will not come down with horrific food poisoning. Maybe I hit it on an off night, but based on the meal I received I would STRONGLY ADVISE NEVER TO EAT HERE. I don't write negative reviews often, but this...
