Walking along Bourbon street looking for a place to eat and thought I’d try this place as they had a man at the door inviting people in. Sat up at the bar and easily made friends on either side (we were all solo diners). Had the hurricane drink (was very sweet and never did see the bartender make it so have no idea how much/if any? Rum was included but couldn’t taste it at all) and tried the SATCHMO SAMPLER - Trio of New Orleans classics jambalaya, red beans & gumbo. I only liked the red beans and rice sampler (right side of picture). Not sure what the dried up brown rice in the middle sampler was supposed to be? And whatever the sampler was on the left? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I also never did get a glass of water that I asked for and when I asked for the tab the waitress told me what I owed but no receipt. I asked for a receipt and noticed a 15% auto gratuity had already been included. AND another $1 added for a non cash adjustment - except I paid with cash so what does that mean? I flagged the bartender girl down again and asked about the auto gratuity and she said that Cornet always adds that 15% to every cheque and when I asked about the $1 cash adjustment she said that it didn’t apply to me because I paid cash BUT it did apply to me because it was on my bill and I had already paid my bill with cash. So beware this place because they are already adding in their ā€œtipā€ without you knowing about it and also charging a non cash adj even when you pay in cash. Plus the food wasn’t very good and the service was terrible. I left and went somewhere else for something to eat and drink after this very disappointing rip...

First time visitors from out of the country. It started off okay, we did tell the waitress we were visiting first time and wanted the NolA experience with their food. The waitress was busy training an as such we did not experience great customer service. Then we ordered the seafood fried platter there was no lime and it was so fresh smelling. One of pieces of the fish was raw. We did not eat and just picked it apart. We did tell the girl that was training about it and went as far stating that maybe it might be us as she was new and we did not want to put pressure on her . She told the senior lady who never even addressed the matter and then seemed to have an attitude afterwards. We still remain polite She never even checked on us. She was even more upset when we asked to split the bill for us. She just came took the dishes and never said a word. Sadly the tip was already include so I guess she did not care how we were treated. The food was horrible and the service made it WORSE. Worse money spent. It could have been addressed. Would definitely not recommend My friends and I plan to visit NOLA again but will go somewhere else and get the great hospitality and better tasting local cuisine. Worse money spent. We actually went to Popeyes after to get something to eat. We met a very nice friendly supervisor who introduced us to a manager when we told them of our horrible experience at CORNET. They were so nice and accommodating and tried best to make up and...

Great view from outside on the gallery. Not a big menu though. It was a slow night, not many there. They were polite and nice but there was no personality or what I would expect "southern hospitality". There really was no character. Here's your menus what do you want to drink what do you want to eat blah blah blah. I feel like I might have got more out of a host or server at IHOP. Then there's the food I was trying to stay more traditional because I'm not a big Southern food lover but I love seafood. So I ordered the shrimp alfredo thinking that would be good. The shrimp was good but the Alfredo sauce was not alfredo sauce it was awful. Again my limited palette may have been the issue but when I told them all they said was sorry, not can I get you something else not can I help cover the cost of your meal... nothing. The manager didn't come over to talk to me it was just okay here's your bill and I paid $21 for that. I get it I got a meal I got to pay for it which I did without argument but maybe a little more courtesy around the fact that I didn't enjoy your meal would have been a good thing. At least act like you care. I would not go back to Cornet. I will say that my wife loved the jambalaya. The picture shows my shrimp alfredo and the picture looks fine but it wasn't...

Food: Everything is very overpriced- we got the red beans & rice, chicken tenders and Shrimp Creole; the chicken tenders were the best thing out of them all. The red beans and rice was very plain, not spicy or flavorful, at all. Service: We ate on the balcony, the servers were confused as to which tables were theirs; our server spilled water all over my son then (accidentally) hit him in the face with the plates when trying to clear the table (but like how does that happen?), and then walked around for 5 minutes with our card forgetting to run it so we could cash out. Atmosphere: you can hear bands playing nearby which is cool, but keep in mind if you want to have conversation you won't be able to if you're on the balcony, also the balcony is tilted downwards, towards the street which is kind of weird for your positioning as you end up sitting sideways... which I mean, isn't the worst but like its awkward. But, there is seating inside both downstairs and upstairs. The restrooms upstairs (I'm not sure if there were any downstairs) are very interesting- I don't think there is air flow in them, and only allow for one person at a time. Lastly, I'm starting to wonder if this is an issue in a lot of the buildings, but while in the staircase all you can smell is the overwhelming wafting of natural gas.
