Went to this bar for the first time. Walked in and right away I was greeted with a smile by the bartender’s which made me feel welcome. I sat down at the bar and even though it was busy, I got waited on immediately. Bartender Linz was standing in front of me restocking and I asked her about a picture on the wall of Farah Fawcet that was authentic and signed by the actress. Linz was so personable and polite. We began a conversation about kids and family and I felt like I’ve known her for years even though just meeting her. This is how a bartender should treat their customers. Then Linz introduced me to her manager Angie who was sitting at the bar like another customer . Angie moved over and sat next to me talking about her future plans to make this place the best atmosphere in town. I can’t say enough great things about this place but I highly recommend stopping by one day if you are in that area on Magazine Street.

Love the atmosphere here! They have an area outside for patrons with pups. Total pub! They have a nice variety of food (we didn't eat) BUT I will include a pic of the menu.....hoped y'all get the idea of the food.. from apps to specialty sandwiches the gotcha covered! Oh and did I mention the HUGE beer menu? Holy.... awesome. Great bartender, ( Ryan) LARGE assortment of beers! We stopped in because I liked the outside and wanted to check it out. Glad I did! Super laid back place. I had the Woot Stout! Highly recommend this place!

WARNING! When you walk to the front of the Pub use the door on the right since the other one doesn't seem to open. PSA: there is no table service, so when you walk in you will be provided with menus and you can order and pickup your edible delights at the order/pickup counter. The Bartender (f you are lucky enough to get the hottie that we did) is very helpful and the prices for the food and beer are more than reasonable. No need for happy hour prices. The portions are HUGE :) I highly recommend This place.

Let me start by saying I am a local.

You would think with so many competing bars nearby this place would try to deliver their best experience possible. I have been here a total of 4 times, twice by choice and twice with a group, and have had the same experience every single time.

The beer selection is decent and the prices for craft beers are middle of the road, but that's where the good qualities end. The staff is -extremely- condescending and rude. Simply asking what beer is recommended will get you a look of disgust (there is a huge selection so excuse me for asking), and this is after waiting patiently for about 20 minutes just to be served in a halfway empty bar. Half the time the bartenders are either talking to each other or on their phones texting anyways. I know bartending can be stressful at times from personal experience, but with this place it feels as if they really do think you're not worth their time and they expect you to tip them based on their terrible attitude and service. Its insane that people in a hospitality industry can act that way and still keep their job. If I owned the place I would get a new bar staff immediately before they sunk my business.

With so many other decent places nearby, I would avoid this one...

On 11/06/2021 A friend and I went there as we have done previously. We went in after the lsu game so the crowd was minimum. I stood at the bar waiting to order our drinks as she waited at the table behind me. The bartender waited on everyone but me so I proceeded to the other side of the bar where the lady bartender was. So I asked her as well could I order. She ignored me, and took the order of the guy just comin in the door. By this time I'm wondering what's going on because neither bartender would take my order. So I go back to the other guy bartender and asked why aren't they takin my order, his response was that he had other people. And do I want to order or keep fussing about why my order was never taken. So me and me friend just walked out. By the way we are black! Both bartenders were negligent! It really seemed racial! I kept my cool , and simply walked out...Dont go there if you are black, because they don't want you there. I stand by what I just wrote. The sad part is I have been to this establishment before an this didn't happen. Training is definitely needed for both bartenders. This was also witness by another patron eating at the bar plus...

So upset, has to change my review from before after the way we were just treated. We are celebrating our daughter's 21st bday weekend and went into the Bulldog, because we usually stop here when we are in town. The bartender analyzed her id, which, sure, he should check it thoroughly. But then emphatically claimed there was no way her actual id was valid. We were trying to get beers at 5pm on a Tuesday with both her parents. Such a disappointment. I know they don't care if they lost a couple tourists trying to celebrate their daughter's milestone birthday, but still, just sucks. Impressive that they came and responded so swiftly with such vitriol. It is not fake and it expires one year from her 21st, in 2026. If you would have spent more time reading it instead of scratching it and trying to deface it, you would have seen that. Under 21 licenses in multiple states are turned sideways, including Utah. This is an absolute joke of a way to treat people. You should be ashamed, but I'm sure you won't be. Thankfully there are plenty other establishments for us to patronize that won't...
