Joe Tony's Bourbon Steak — Restaurant in New Philadelphia

Went here a few weeks ago for my mother's birthday. As she seems to love this place. She seemed to enjoy what she ordered other than her steak was too well done. I ordered the Fetaquini with Scallops and a tea to drink. First of all. I understand that this is a steakhouse but not everything needs to be blackened and taste burnt.

The scallops came blackened which did not taste great for a scallop. Their rendition of Alfredo sauce was way too over seasoned and made the roof of my mouth fell raw by the end of eating it. The tea was very watered down. Which none of this should have been the case. There was zero rush and we was the only folks in at that time. So there was no reason for anything to be rushed or be off due to the time of day.

Way too much money for mediocre scallops and an excessively seasoned bowl of Alfredo $36.00 Even pasta and a meatball was still $16.00.

As far as the atmosphere Its not a bad looking place on the inside in comparison to when it was Lam's. Their men's bathroom was STILL out of service as another reviewer mentioned a while back. It had been a snowy few days and their parking lot and walk was not cleared of snow. Even around the handicapped parking there was still snow and no effort to clear it. It was a few days since it snowed before this visit. This is a hazard people!

I debated even writing a review because I really don’t want to sound picky or mean, but I thought that maybe the restaurant would want some feedback on what our experience was like, and why we won’t be coming back. Date nights are few and far between for me and my husband and we were super disappointed with our meals. The atmosphere and service were phenomenal, I have nothing bad to say here at all! Our food though….I can’t say the same. Our feta dip and pesto bread, and the sides, were absolutely delicious! But, we ordered the Alfredo with meatballs and one with ribeye, the pasta was so dry I couldn’t eat it. It had zero sauce on there with no flavor, the ribeye was cooked well but super fatty and chewy on most parts. The bread was hard enough to hurt my husbands teeth…I also ordered two mojitos, the blueberry did not taste like blueberry or a mojito at all, and the black cherry mojito was sickeningly sweet.. We really aren’t hard people to please by any means so I hope this isn’t taken the wrong way, but for $100 we will not be back. So sorry! We were very excited about trying...

I brought my mom in for lunch on Wednesday, there was a table of two ladies and one man at the bar so not so busy. We got iced tea, crab cakes and salads. Those were fine. We got burgers and they were so salty we could not eat them. Hers was medium and mine was Med well but both came out well and mine was burnt on the bottom. We sent them back and did not ask for them to be remade as the components to the burger are premade and likely to come out just as salty as before. The waitress took them to the back where I assume they were trash. She brought us a bill, 15% off the burgers we never ate. I said that's a bad policy as they were not prepared correctly and inedible. She talked to the manager, who never came to speak with us, and took one burger off but I still had to pay for one I never received. At this point pretty well ruined our birthday date and probably the time the other three people had trying to deal with this talking across the bar. She offered us dessert but we didn't get our lunch so we declined. Left embarrassed, unhappy and just a little...
